Oregon should be higher, at least in the top 7 or 8. I'm picking them to win the Pac-10 this year. I'll take being ranked at 18. Pretty good considering we lost our 2 best defensive players and our 3 best offensive players.

I have to say I'm surprised Georgia came in as high as #13. I'm expecting a down year, but we'll see. With the Hall of Famer, Matthew Stafford, and the All-Pro Knowshon Moreno off to bigger things, I'm a little scared. But go Dawgs!!! UGA!!!!!!!

Glad Texas is ranked above OU. That way it wont matter as much when Bob Stoops runs up the scores against inferior teams and tries to look more favorable to voters like he did last year.

And fuck Bradford and his inflated stats last year. Colt is a better QB and thats it.

OU might as well be considered a Texas team since they have to get all of their players from here.

preseason rankings are the reason college football sucks. Forget the BCS, it's the preseason rankings that fuck everything up. I think the first rankings should come out in October when each team has played 4 games and you can get an idea. All preseason rankings do is handicap teams.

Yeah, considering they have the easiest schedule of all time and their biggest game is at home.

I think it's funny that the media rile up the fans every year about how the BCS sucks, yet they still have their polls and rankings to sell magazines each August which is an even bigger sham than the BCS.

I mean the BCS is bullshit, but if you just started ranking teams in October, you would get a better judge as to who should be the top 2 teams than if you start ranking in August before teams even play. But the media won't tell you about this because it doesn't benefit them

#27 texas tech!!
They just had a bit of a setback

Sources: Batch out 3-6 weeks

Texas Tech Red Raiders (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/clubhouse?teamId=2641)Texas Tech Red starting running back Baron Batch (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=184839) is expected to miss three to six weeks after sustaining an arm injury in practice, two people familiar with the injury said Thursday.
Big 12 blog

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/columnists/griffin_tim_m.jpg
ESPN.com's Tim Griffin writes about all things Big 12 in his conference blog (http://myespn.go.com/blogs/big12).

Batch most likely will miss one month, one source said, which would put his target date for a possible return Sept. 19 in Week 3 against Texas.
The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported that Batch was hit by defensive tackle Chris Perry during an inside running drill and landed awkwardly on his arm. Batch later was taken from the Tech football facility in a private vehicle, accompanied by Tech medical personnel.
The specific nature of the injury is not known. Texas Tech does not comment on player injuries.
Batch, a junior, led the Red Raiders in rushing last season with 758 yards and seven touchdowns, with a Big 12-leading 6.7 yards per carry. He also ranked second among all Big 12 running backs with 45 receptions for 449 yards last season.
The loss would be especially significant because of the expired eligibility of Shannon Woods (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=160444). Woods and Batch shared the Red Raiders' featured back role during their 11-2 season in 2008.
Aaron Crawford (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=240565) and Harrison Jeffers (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=380639) are candidates to replace him. The Red Raiders open Sept. 5 against North Dakota.
Crawford rushed for 26 yards and a touchdown last season, but has been hampered by a shoulder injury he suffered in spring practice.
Joe Schad is a college football reporter for ESPN. Information from ESPN.com Big 12 blogger Tim Griffin was included in this report.

Wrong is wrong no matter how you try to weasel out of it. So you don't throw batteries; oh but then you did but that was just one time and the only unclassy thing. Oh but then you did very the very low brow Vick Em thing, but I can't call that classless because it wasn't towards my school. Stupid is as stupid does. You are the one getting all snippy, I just state facts.

That and you don't use capital letters.

Yeah, I know, I can't win arguements with my five year old when they are being brats, either. Just got to shrug your shoulders and chalk it up to immaturity.
