Just in case you forgot.
Miguel Torres vs. Brian Bowles.
This will be one of the last WEC's...when their Versus contract is up they are likely merging with the UFC. Not sure how I feel about that yet.

I hope it turns out to be for the better because they're always promoting Texas fighters. Tonight's card has atleast 3 that I know of: Phil Cardella, Marcus Hicks, and Leonard Garcia.

Might as well they already dropped the light heavyweight, middleweight, and the welterweight divisions..

I just wonder what they will do with the blue chip prospects who are not ready for the UFC but one day could be...
I guess they will be Ultimate Fight Night guys...... ????

Surely to God if they merge, the 145 will go with them right?

man that was amazing. i thought torres was getting ready to kill him but then he just got caught. bowles has one hell of a jaw to take all that and still throw that powerful short hook. great fight....can't wait for the rematch.

Great event. Bowles...WOW! He only fought 4 fights in the WEC and on his 5th he became the champ. We still don't know just how good this guy is (good enough to have the belt, though). I'd like to see him defend his belt against Takeya Mizugaki before a rematch with Torres.
And the Benevides/Cruz fight was unreal. Reminded me of a Sanchez/Parisyan, Huerta/Guida kind of pace. Only even faster.

i think cruz's win over benevides puts him next in line for bowles. i like mizugaki but i think that win was questionable at best. benevides v torres and cruz v bowles would be an excellent card to see.

WEC always delivers...great stuff.
I'm sure Torres will do one fight then a re-match with Bowles (assuming he defends once).

That may be how it actually turns out, but I'd still like to see how Bowles fares against Mizugaki. Mizugaki took Torres 5 rounds in a tough fight, so it would be an interesting gage for Bowles.

i don't know much about WEC but Boweles looks like he can go up the division and there are two worthy guys to fight. But it's all too early as there is still Torres and Mizugaki.
