the reason the spurs should sign him is he could help guard shaq if heat get to finals and help guard kg
mailman get in kg's head kg and mailman get thrown out =spurs avantage

and last and not least

Spurs should sign Malone is so he's not available to guard Duncan. Malone and Shaq held Duncan to a paltry 17.5 ppg and .430 shooting in the final 4 games of the Lakers series

and they could trade mailman and rose to get a decent backup if rose sucks next year for a good backup

never mind. If he comes, fine, if not, fine too. I'm not worried, I think our bigmen are good enough.

With the rotation we will have at the 1 and 2, we are golden.

Laettner gives them 15 on the roster. It's possible they might dump Jerome Beasley if Malone wants to join that badly. I'd think about giving Beasley a shot if that happened -- I didn't realize he shot that well from outside.
