I actually had the the title written: "Lebron vs Tim" but then I changed it 'cause I think this way is more interesting and 'cause I wanted to make sure that there was a "Kobe vs Lebron" matchup.

dirk4mvp
08-11-2009, 09:33 PM
Yeah, I get the feeling Tim will only win because this is a Spurs board. Wade had a much better season last year, but in all honest that is because Wade had to play his hardest every night for that heat team to win, and he did it to prove to the world how good he was.

If Duncan had to be the major player by far he might have been able to do what Wade did. But that is unproven until that situation comes up.

In their prime? Duncan.

Wade is just beginning the prime of his career so that's yet to be determined. It will probably end up being Duncan because it would take multiple more titles and MVPs for Wade to catch up, but you can't say Duncan in his prime since Wade hasn't even come close to finishing his prime.

Right now? Wade.

And you didn't have to split up the question. The title of the thread says "right now." Why make the clarification when there wasn't anything vague about the poll?

Cry Havoc
08-12-2009, 12:35 PM
Voted for Wade, though it's close. Duncan still impacts the game defensively moreso than Wade does, but Wade is just unstoppable when healthy.

And :lmao at the haters on this thread for Spurs fans voting for Duncan. If this were ANY other sports site for a particular team, it would be a hell of a lot more skewed than here at Spurstalk. If you posted "who's better, Wade or Kobe" to a Miami Heat forum (assuming there are any), you would see 10 times the homerism. If you posted, "Who's better, Kobe or Jordan" to Lakersground, homers would come out of the woodwork like an assembly line to fellate Kobe. At Spurstalk, possibly the most loved and respected player in Spurs HISTORY is being outvoted primarily by Spurs fans, and you continue to hate on the small majority that cannot vote against the best PF of all time.

So, congrats for saying there are homers on this forum. Your sleuthing skills are only unmatched by your ability to bitch and whine about an argument that's been around for as long as Spurstalk has. And yet you keep coming back here, and continuing to moan. It would be hilarious if it weren't so incredulously stupid.

if Wade was a Maverick would he be winning this poll?

Nah. Cause if Wade was a Maverick it would increase his estrogen level by about 400%, he would start whining about how little respect he gets, and he'd only score about 8 points per game.

Actually it is quite vague... If we're voting on the BEST right now then what do you mean by best? Accrobatic moves and finishes and highlight material that fills the seats with fans? Or are we talking about who's the BEST at giving their team the BEST chance at winning and doing just that? If it's the ladder, I take Duncan any day of the week. Dwyane Wade doesn't make his teammates better and he hasn't even come close to making his team a playoff threat since 2006. The only reason they even won it in 2006 is because the Dallas Mavericks are a fucking joke.

FYI, I didn't vote and usually don't.

To be a FIBA HoF basketball player besides beign a great basketball player you have to win a lot of things. If you're a great NBA player you can get in even if you don't win shit, which I think is a very reasonable thing to do.

I also admitted 'pythagorean system of music' is shorthand which my music instructor taught me concerning why our instruments (including voices) are the way they are, and that you'd discover its intricacies within 'music theory'. Indeed, if you correlate what i was saying with what pythagoras discovered concerning music, you might actually agree its a good term to use. If there is no wikipedia for it, my apologies.

I voted for Duncan because his game is more pleasant to watch, but Wade's extra 15-20 whistles per game will make him more valuable in an actual contest.

I honestly just didn't feel like looking. So, my bad about not backing my statement up good enough.

But based on the way it's calculated, if over the next 3 years, JJ makes 2 AS games (likely since he's made the last 3), raises his PPG to 20 (likely since his best years are ahead of him), his HoF % goes up to 16%
If my uncle had a pussy he'd be my aunt...and a fuckin freak show. Plus didn't you ask in the other thread who was better now?

Is this thread a fuckin joke question? Timmy's damn near headed out to pasture and DWade is arguably the best, most complete player in the league.

Fuckin Spurs fans...

Time to wake up from that pipe dream. This is embarrassing.
