Maybe you should aim a little lower, like the Texans getting their second win against the Colts in franchise history.

That's a good idea.

The Texans will get their second win against the Colts in franchise history!

No Rosencopter this year.

My lasting memory of the Colts first and only loss to the Texans in franchise history isn't the actual loss itself but how David Carr blew Kris Brown in the locker room after the game for making that kick. Carr knew he deserved no credit and was just sucking the cock he was supposed to suck.

David Carr loved the cock. He needed it. I think he purposefully got sacked all those times just so big men will be laying on him.

Dude, I've known you for a long time. Colts are going to get ganged raped this year by their division. Peyton will be on his knees deep throating Garrard, and jerking off Shaub and Collins at the same time...all while you are tossing Peytons salad at the same time.

Now shut the fuck up and go get me some coke.

A little birdie told me we're going to videotape other team's signals this year.

Is that because you haven't managed to transfer the equipment that pipes in crowd noise over from the RCA Dome? Or still trying to find a CD player that won't skip in the middle of a Patriots game? Unfortunately St. Dungy can't pray to Jeebus for everyone to forget stuff like that anymore.

The Colts have just been toying with the league. Joe Montana couldn't have won that game with 14 minutes time of possession.

Peyton > Everyone else

In other news it looks like Bill Simmons has been faithfully attending his court-mandated AA meetings after publishing every article during the 2007 season whilst under the influence:

Thirty-two years old now, Brady has mellowed considerably from the days when he gleefully head-butted teammates and sprinted toward touchdown celebrations like a maniac. He doesn't move as well. His timing is way off. He seems a little, um, jittery every time 300-pound guys roll near his legs. He might shed that rustiness this weekend; he might not shed it until November; he might need the whole season to bounce back like so many others who had knees rebuilt. We don't know. We just don't know. It sucks. For the first time in my life, I watched Manning play on Monday and felt a twinge of envy. The Brady-Manning rivalry is on hold right now. Indefinitely.

MVP picking up where he left off last year and going even further beyond. I didn't see enough from the first game to make a good enough call but after that Miami game and especially now, he's better than ever.

Really impressed with the defense tonight. They were embarrassed on Monday night and turned in a pretty ballsy performance against a good offense. Props.

Freeney heard "something pop"

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on September 28, 2009 9:50 AM ET
The complete team effort by the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night in their 31-10 win over the Cardinals was perhaps the most impressive performance of the day.

But the win could come with a gigantic asterisk (http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d812faa6a&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true) if defensive end Dwight Freeney is seriously injured.

Freeney reportedly "heard something pop" in his quadriceps during a play in the third quarter against Arizona, according to the Associated Press. It was one of the few plays all night Freeney wasn't making Kurt Warner run for his life; Freeney was a blocker when he got hurt.

Before the injury, Freeney hit Warner four times (http://www.indystar.com/article/20090928/SPORTS03/909280351/1058/SPORTS03/Defense+applies+heat+to+Cardinals), including two sacks and a forced fumble.

"They were trying to single block him," said defensive end Robert Mathis.

The performance was a reminder that Freeney is almost as important to the Colts defense as Peyton Manning is to their offense. Freeney will undergo an MRI Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

Speaking of Freeney, he is only out 2-3 weeks with a grade 1 quad strain (least severe type of quad injury). So he should be back for the St. Louis game after the bye. Could have been a lost worse.

Mora: Don't expect Hasselbeck or Jones on Sunday

By GREGG BELL (AP) – 21 hours ago
RENTON, Wash. — The Seahawks are planning to be without quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and best blocker Walter Jones again on Sunday.
Coach Jim Mora said Wednesday he does not expect his three-time Pro Bowl passer or his nine-time Pro Bowl left tackle to play at the undefeated Indianapolis Colts.
The 34-year-old Hasselbeck, who broke a rib 10 days ago, still can't run and still has pain when he takes a deep breath. So Seneca Wallace is expected to make his second consecutive start. Wallace set career highs of 26 completions, 44 attempts and 261 yards passing last weekend in a last-minute loss to Chicago.
Mora said he doesn't know for sure if Jones, who has yet to play this season, will play at all in 2009.
The team will back off pushing the 35-year-old Jones through practice this week, because his left knee has pained him during practices in each of the last two weeks. Jones had his second knee surgery in nine months in August. The first one was a microfracture surgery that drilled holes into bone to regenerate cartilage.
"We have to give him some time. I think he's earned that," Mora said. "He's had a distinguished career. He's exhibited toughness his entire career. No one can question his commitment to this game — it's really beyond reproach. So we just have to be patient and let him work through this, and then make the best decision for the team when we feel it's necessary."
Jones has refused interview requests recently, saying through team spokesmen that he wants to play first before commenting.
Mora met with his star on Monday. Was Jones discouraged?
"About how he felt physically? Maybe a little, but not where he was just in tank," Mora said. "More concerned like, 'I want to get right, because I want to be on the field with my teammates helping them win.'"
Seattle (1-2) does expect to have linebacker Lofa Tatupu back from a hamstring injury against the Colts.

Peyton Manning is 33. He has 342 touchdown passes, third-most of all-time. He is 127 behind Brett Favre. Let's say Favre puts up 18 more and Manning finishes the year 125 behind Favre. Manning's going to obliterate the record. I'll be surprised if he doesn't get to 500 while still playing effectively, consistently.

So after five games it's apparent that Pierre Garcon's balls are at least twice as big as Marvin Harrison's ever were. Pierre isn't a better receiver than Harrison, but dude isn't afraid of blocking or any contact period the way that Harrison was. It's nice to see that from a young player.

This team is 5-0 without its No. 2 receiver and Bob Sanders, while also starting two rookie cornerbacks filling in for injured starters.

Btw Tim Jennings sucks. He's improved from last year but teams know he is our worst DB and purposely pick on him. Seems like dude is always two or three steps off his man.

I said the whole time that it was gonna be like Dungy's Tampa team the year after they fired him. The Colts have really always been Bill Polian and Peyton Manning. In those five drives, Manning has completed 20 of 25 passes (80 percent) for 338 yards and touchdown passes of 48, 53, 21 and 39 yards. He has a perfect passer rating of 158.3 in those situations.

Three games later Colts run D is middle of the pack and getting better each week. I think Sanders can only make it better. Peyton gets the ball back with 44 seconds but after 3 plays its 4th and 25(after a Mario Williams sack on Peyton) and throws a pick to Cushing who is covering deep in Prevent(because he can do it all). Ball game ends, we all come back here and make fun of J.T. Dirk and all the other colts fans.

Even if the Texans win (they won't):

- Colts still better than Cowboys
- You're still a faggot

You can't stop James Casey. You can only hope to contain him.

He had his knee scoped yesterday. He is out for the game.

I can appreciate what he brings to the team when he plays, but really now.
How much are we paying him for that one game he plays a season?

What's amazing is there's a good chance the Colts find a way to overcome the injuries to Hayden, Jackson and Sanders and still trot out a good pass defense this week.

I heard he's just out indefinitely, not on IR. I bet you ten bucks he plays against the Patriots and then goes back to the bench until January.

Although if Bob does go to IR, this has Patrick Ewing Theory written all over it.

Great win today. What gets lost in all the Peyton Manning love is that the Colts defense is playing for real this year. Past Manning-era Colts defenses couldn't close games. I'm excited about this team once Gonzalez gets back to 100%, because that will add another weapon for Peyton and he won't have to worry about the inexperience of Collie and Garcon if defenses can cover Wayne, Clark and Gonzo.

This team needs Kelvin Hayden back bad. I think with Hayden and Gonzalez healthy, this team will be really hard to stop. My biggest fear is Caldwell fucking up this team's rhythm by resting people once they lock up their seeding. Without looking at the numbers, I'm pretty sure a win against Houston next week wins the division.

One thing that's pissing me off right now is the Colts are trying to develop another one of their young TEs and it's not working at all. Against the Patriots they tried a few plays to Robinson and it wasn't pretty. Today Tom Santi caught something like six balls for 80 yards (check the box score but I think they showed a graphic saying that during the game and he didn't catch another ball after that).

Obviously today the turnovers kept the Ravens in the game. The Reed pick was all on Peyton but the other one was one of those picks you can't really predict will happen because it just bounced right into the DBs hands. But that goal line stand was a thing of beauty today. I don't even think I trusted this year's defense to make that stop. This team has been great on third down defense, especially in scoring situations. I'm excited for this year's defense because they've got tons of ceiling with all the injuries they have, yet are still making clutch plays.

I have been very pleased with this years D, even with all the injuries we have had to endure. Just really proud of that bunch. I have ALOT of confidence in this D to pull their weight down the stretch.

And your right, Hayden and Gonzalez back will just bolster the team even more.

The Colts need to try someone else on kick returns. Or just let it touchback every time and save energy. Chad Simpson sucks majorly.

And hopefully Santi has been pardoned from being in the 2nd half of any game.

It's not a coincidence that Kelvin Hayden's first game back the Colts end their 4th quarter comeback streak and never trail in the game, winning by double digits.

The one thing that can kill this Colts team is a team that can fuck up their field position. The Chargers punter was the MVP of that playoff game last year, and the real reason Indy lost that game apart from Jewish officiating in overtime was that they started almost every drive of that game inside their own 10 yard line.

dirk4mvp is on the money with his hate of Chad Simpson. Ironically enough the guy sucks so bad that he was tackled at the 1 yard line when I broke for a 99 yard KO return with him on Madden.

The thing I want to know now is where the fuck is Gonzalez? What damage could possibly have been done to his knee on a play where he was untouched by a defender, and how could that damage keep him out for 11 games following that? His injury is already on the same level as Marvin Harrison's 2007 injury, maybe even gayer than that. If he comes back healthy and can make some plays, this team is going to be tough to beat. Luckily Garcon is having the kind of season I expected Gonzalez to have yardage-wise, so its all good.

Let's lock up the 1 seed next week. :tu

So next week if they win they get that win streak and lock up most wins in any decade. No better team to do it against than the bronchodes.

If they lose, the faggot bronco fans who've been posting once a week in the nfl forum since week 7 will act like they haven't missed a beat.
