Weather we liked him or not, he was one of the last remaining journalists. The others belong with tabloids.

They all rolled over and supported the Iraq war, didn't ask the hard questions, believed as fact whatever propaganda dickhead spewed, they can go fuck themselves, like any corporate employee calling himself a "journalist".

He exposed covert CIA agent Valarie Plame...

On March 8, 2007, two days after the verdict in the Libby trial, Congressman Henry Waxman, chair of the U.S. House Committee on Government Reform, announced that his committee would ask Plame to testify on March 16, in an effort by his committee to look into "whether White House officials followed appropriate procedures for safeguarding Plame's identity."[49][50]

On March 16, 2007, at these hearings about the disclosure, Waxman read a statement about Plame's CIA career that had been cleared by CIA director Gen. Michael V. Hayden and the CIA, stating that she was undercover and that her employment status with the CIA was classified information prohibited from disclosure under Executive Order 12958.

Novak crossed the line. Journalists can be of any political persuasion, but their relationship MUST remain at the wink, nod, nudge, smile level. At no time is it acceptable to actually jump into bed with the politicians and become part of the apparatchik by performing sex acts on them the way Novak did to Bush and Cheney's cabal. He was rightly shunned by most journalists afterwards for injecting himself into the political process directly, and lost his CNN gig as a result.

The conspiracy was to find something to discredit President Bush for. Do you seriously believe the Joe Wilson could determine that there were no yellowcake transactions? Then his article. The CIA not requiring a non-disclose statement from him. His wife's involvement.

As long as people point fingers as this being someone elses fault, I will adamantly point out the illegitimate acts if a small CIA division and Joe Wilson.

How could they be so stupid as not to realize they would be investigated. Perhaps this was all to start the controversy it did. They orchestrated something that was intended to damage the presidency. Maybe it was the leak they wanted!

blah.........

he found nothing because there was nothing to find.

they knew he was right (because they made it up and got called out on it)

instead of admitting to the truth, they got angry and outed a CIA agent in hopes of covering up the lie they manufactured.

bush senior calls that treason......an act of treason.

"they" are the ones that used the lie about yellow cake to go with all the other lies "they" used to justify the war.

climb out of their cradle, mr. birther.

There's no such thing as "conspiracy to discredit" someone, even a President. It's not illegal to discredit a President.

Who are "they"?
mr. birther playing stupid. you don't have to "play" stupid.

Who's intelligence reports?
still gonna play stupid, huh mr. birther?

why didn't "they" admit that their manufactured evidence wasn't real?

why didn't "they" do that instead of outing a CIA agent?
