According to MMA Weekly's Twitter page, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has approved 5-Round Non-Title MMA fights for "championship level athletes".

Interestingly enough, The NSAC has also approved instant replay and passed what they are calling "The BJ Penn rule". MMA Weekly has articles up about both of these breaking news topics.

It will be funny if they will be stopping the fight to see if the fighter was really out after ref made the stoppge.
And if not - well - continue.

Good...Lighter weights especially...#1 contender fights...I like it, as long as it's not over-used. I don't wanna see many non-title HW fights at 5 rds though...

Don't think that'll be the case. Sounds like it's only in the event of a bad eye poke that the ref missing for example...ie, Anthony Johnson vs Kevin Burns.
