Spurs Sports & Entertainment To Host Career Fair (http://www.nba.com/spurs/news/careerfair_090829.html)
SAN ANTONIO – Spurs Sports & Entertainment will host a career fair on Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the Silver Stars 2 p.m. game vs. the Detroit Shock at the AT&T Center. Professionals from Spurs Sports & Entertainment’s franchise teams (Spurs, Rampage and Silver Stars), the AT&T Center and other professional organizations will come together to provide a unique opportunity for job seeking individuals. Organizations slated to participate include the San Antonio Spurs (NBA), San Antonio Rampage (AHL), San Antonio Silver Stars (WNBA), Houston Rockets (NBA) Alamo Community Colleges, Argus (Event staffing) and Aramark (Sports & Entertainment). Individuals will be able to submit resumes for fields including; advertising, broadcasting, business, communications, finance/accounting, hospitality, management, marketing, public relations, sales and more.
The Spurs Sports & Entertainment Career Fair will also feature guest speaker Ron ‘Mr. Optimistic’ Graves (http://www.optimisticday.com/), who will speak to the attendees about keeping a positive attitude and good outlook during the job search process.
Pre-registration is $15 through August 28 (http://www.active.com/page/Event_Details.htm?event_id=1770781&assetId=6fe0a523-f3b1-4448-aa7e-565477f8f1ee) and $20 on the day of the event.
