View Full Version : Tarvaris Jackson > Brett Favre

:lol :oops

The Vikings are now in an awkward position.

Brett Favre 1/4 4 yards 0 TD

Jackson 12/15 202 yards 2 TD

I know they needed an upgrade from Jackson either way, but I never thought Favre was the answer at all, at this age anyway.

I thought it was hilarous how typical ESPN jumped on their nuts and called them the NFC favorite now that they got Favre.

It was obvious how washed up he is because he had to go to a team that had the worst starting QB in the league. Think about it. This guy is not that good at all.

It is still sorta too early to tell since Farve is still probably shaking off rust from being off the last part of last season with the injury. I still think Minny would had been better off going after Vick rather than Farve. Vick is only 30 and could have been their QB for at least 5-6 more productive years.

Spursfan092120

Last night was a good argument for that. Brett could still shake off the dust and be a decent QB...but he's not the answer for Minnesota.

Personally, I think Jackson could be a very solid QB. He's better than people think. He just needed time to develop.

It will be interesting to see how the whole Favre thing turns out. This move could very possibly make or break Jackson's career. Either he could hang his head, lose his confidence, and be fucked for the rest of his career, or he could come out firing, take the starting job from Brett freaking Favre, which would likely stunt his confidence and help him grow into a damn good QB, as I feel he is capable of being.

I agree that Favre may have been rusty, but I really question his heart and desire to last a whole season.

He literally signed 3 days ago after saying no to them. I really don't think he truly cares about that team.

TJax being a good qb is about on par with Rex Grossman. Both suck. Both throw ints. Both have had multiple chances to prove something and kept on getting worse.

It's preseason, get off my nuts. I was thinking too hard about renewing my endorsement deal with Wrangler to concentrate on the game. Seriously. I play in the NFC North. The Vikings would go 5-1 in this division if Rosenfels started, so with me you should expect a solid 6-0 without even needing to break a sweat.

I guess it means nothing that Jackson in 20 NFL games has thrown 20 TDs. Well that means that He doesn't put points upon the board.

Or it means he plays on the same team as Adrian Peterson.

I won't watch football this season if John Madden returns with Favre's dick in his hands.

I had this same argument with a friend of mine the other day. How can you pass judgement on a player that was never given the time to develop? The time he was in there he actually looked pretty good. He wasn't given a fair oppurtunity to grow.

Tavaris Jackson has had several years in the NFL to prove he can play. He sucks. He sucks really bad. He lost his job last year to a 37-year-old Gus Frerotte.

Sage Rosenfels is a career backup for a reason. He has a precision cannon for an arm, but consistently makes bad decisions on the field. When he plays QB, his teams move the ball up and down the field but don't score points because he turns the ball over. He forces the ball into double-coverage. He fumbles.

Brett Favre is an old narcissist who doesn't care about his team. He isn't healthy. He is only playing for Minnesota to settle a grudge with the Packers. He will break down and throw lots of interceptions. The Vikings' obsession with Favre is like a crazed obsessed fan of some former child star, who finds her twenty years later living on the street attracted to meth, with open sores on her face, and about eight different STD's, and immediately marries her.

The Vikings don't have any good quarterbacks. What they have managed to do with their dickering is create lots of conflict on the team about which of their mediocre-to-bad quarterbacks gives them the best chance to win. The answer is "none of the above." Brad Childress has already screwed his team before the season starts. Their eventual drama-filled underachieving 8-8 campaign is already written in stone.

Embarrassed? Nah... Does anybody crow about their teams when they're poor? You don't see many King fans around here much anymore. They used to have their own section and once they started losing, the posting was so infrequent, Kori had no reason to keep it going. You think Laker fans would be plentiful around here if they sucked?

Yeah, I'll always be a Garnett fan, and is a big reason why I like the Celtics.

The Celtics nation title and the jersey popping avatar are for those people on this forum who have spoken so negatively about him over the last couple of seasons.
