Ok so I have an HP Pavilion with Vista Home Premium. I installed Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault and played through it. After I grew tired of it, I tried to uninstall it. The uninstall process stopped at 87% and stayed there for 10 or 15 minutes. I got frustrated with it and opened the Task Manager and ended the process. I tried to uninstall again, same thing. After the 3rd attempt, I gave up.
Now the problem is I can't seem to install any new programs because the same thing happens. I tried to install a program to edit my podcast files and it did the same thing. 87% and stopped. I tried to do a system restore back to a couple of days before I tried uninstalling MOHAA and it didn't take.
Is my rambling making sense to any of you? And if it is, do any of you know how to fix this?

Try using system restore to the last backup time before you tried the uninstall.

Installshield is prolly corrupt. Theres guides on how to reinstall it somewhere. Involves deleting some things and the installer puts them back next time.

Sorry, I never read these all the way through anymore.
I've never done a repair install on Vista.

Sometimes antivirus or other protection programs can cause Installshield issues. Make sure they are all turned off. Otherwise, I'd have to ask around.

Should I just go back to XP? I still have a copy. I haven't any issues with Vista except for this one and I'm pretty sure this issue was self inflicted. :bang
By the way, ChumpDumper, no worries. Thanks for taking the time, sort of.
