anyone know much about bit torrent?

I downloaded the program, and tried to download a couple torrents but they won't load...it just sits at 0%. Help!:(

What program are you using? I use Azureus. The difference between this and other P2P software is that you can "see" files when people are not online. Where did you go to get the torrent links?

Make sure people are currently seeding the file you want. If not, then you won't be able to complete your download.

Also if you're using a router, make sure the right ports are open. Usually most bittorrent programs have port ranges 6881-6999.
