That sucks for the boys. He was nothing special but he was the best WR they had.

X-rays did not reveal a broken bone in Roy Williams' shoulder or
collarbone, two sources told Todd Archer.
Williams' suffered a sprained left shoulder when he collided with
Orlando Scandrick near the end of Thursday night's open practice. We
do not yet know the timetable for his return.
The Cowboys will provide an update Friday.

Still seeing conflicting reports, but it sounds like the boys may have dodged a bullett. They woulda been effed!

Yeah...that would have really sucked...would have gone after a receiver (Boldin, Jones, Marshall, etc.), but they would have had to learn the system...hoping it a sprain, like it seems to be.

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=dal) WR Roy E. Williams (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5532) is likely done for the preseason after injuring his left shoulder on a goal-line collision with cornerback Orlando Scandrick (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=11366), a source told ESPN's Michael Smith.
http://assets.espn.go.com/i/headshots/nfl/players/65/5532.jpg Williams

Williams was down for longer than normal, then was examined by athletic trainers and shouted in anger as he headed into the locker room before the workout ended.
X-rays were negative, but Williams will ice his shoulder and be re-examined in the morning, a source told ESPN's NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Williams might've been upset because he and Scandrick keep getting tangled up. During training camp, Scandrick -- who is battling Mike Jenkins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=11259) for a starting job -- hit Williams hard enough to knock his helmet off (the chin strap wasn't buckled) and was covering Williams again on a play when Williams landed hard and sprained his wrist. The Cowboys are counting on Williams to replace Terrell Owens (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=1056) as Tony Romo (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5209)'s top target.
Immediately after the workout, coach Wade Phillips said he had no information about Williams' status, later adding, "I don't know that he's injured. Just wait and see."
"He banged his shoulder a little bit and we're checking on him," Phillips said.

I think it's funny how you have Matt Jones in the same sentence as Boldin and Marshall. Matt Jones is a scrub. But he would still be the best WR on the Cowboys roster, aside from Miles Austin.

Harrison is my first choice. Supposedly he was a pain in the ass in the locker room but he kept it off the field. I think JJ might go for Marshall now even though, IMO, the price is too high.

If JJ gave up a 1st, 3rd and 7th for Roy Williams, can you imagine what he would have to give up for a WR that's actually good?

Austin is actually just the 4th best WR on the team. If you want to include all pass catchers(TE's) he's the 6th best pass catcher on the team.

I don't look for the Cowboys to add another WR, but if they do, they'll go after a veteran FA like Harrison or Jones. No way they go for Boldin, its not even feasable so end that talk. And Marshall??? Fuck him, the guy isn't interested in playing ball, he's just interested in bling.

You are wrong. Miles Austin >> Jerry Rice
