Progressives are as foreign to me as Abu Abadallah and his seven camels.

We are definately changing as the platform suggested during the election. People are becoming more and more dependant on government and it is why government will become stronger. Much stronger than what the founders of this nation ever wanted government to become.

It's evidenced by the fact that people who believe government controll is the answer and more valuable than the constitution are becoming increasingly elected to office.

There was no need to start throwing around the race card and bringing up Castro of all people.

It's still a level below the "great white hope" comment which all the people who are gonna rip this Watson broad a new ass hole were defending just a few days ago.

Par for the course. It was unpatriotic to be against Bush, now it's racist to be against Obama. Basically, whoever is in power doesn't like being second guessed.

I think your missing the more descriptive time frame of your argument. Not many, or not many openly advertised the wanted Bush to "Fail". WE ALL wanted him to succeed, it was his own doing that made him fail. We were a country united behind him after 9/11.... that lasted very little after the failures of Iraq and Afghanistan.

The difference is, that people have been openly calling for Obama to fail the minute he took the oath of office. That for one is obvious bias and hate with likely a racist motive. Not to say the there were'nt those on the Far Left that wanted Bush to fail anyway from the start, but the "liberal media" was rather good a diminishing their voices. On the other hand, Rush Limbaugh's and other far right voices were that wanted Obama to fail were diminished, but encouraged.

Come on. There was just as much hate directed at Bush from day 1 as there was at Obama. Only the buzz words were "selected, not elected" instead of "hope he fails". Yes, Bush got a momentary reprieve immediately following 9/11, but that was short lived and it wasn't long till we as a nation were back to team sport politics with both sides spewing hate at each other.

Really? So everyone just forgot about that whole Florida election fraud thing as soon as he became President and just started rooting for him eh?

To say that people have the same amount of hate toward Obama as they did toward Bush is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Bush was one of the most hated presidents in American history. I will admit that Obama is hated by some but not even close to amount of hate that Bush got when he was president.

“We’re going to do for blacks exactly what blacks did for the revolution. By which I mean: nothing.”

Che Gueverra
President of the National Bank of Cuba
Minister of Industies appointed by Fidel Castro
"Castro's Brain" dubbed by Time Magazine
Hero of the Cuban Revolution
Butt buddy to Fidel Castro(this last one I made up myself)

“The blacks, those magnificent examples of the African race who have conserved their racial purity by a lack of affinity with washing, have seen their patch invaded by a different kind of slave: The Portuguese ... the black is indolent and fanciful, he spends his money on frivolity and drink; the European comes from a tradition of working and saving which follows him to this corner of America and drives him to get ahead.

Eusebio Penalver suffered three times as long in Castro's gulag as Solzhenitsyn suffered in Stalin's. He suffered longer than Mandela suffered in South Africa's – 28 years. He's the longest-serving black political prisoner of the 20th century.

That's who Castro is.

Hope4dopes:

Nice quotes.

You should forward them to the honorable Congresswoman.
