Love the HBO 24 7. Lately its alittle boring but the cinematography and soundtrack can't be beat!

http://www.hbo.com/boxing/events/2009/0919_mayweather_marquez/index.html

Whats up with Pretty Boy acting like he is a nice guy all of a sudden? probably got too much shit about acting like an asshole 24 7

he can't fool anybody

This episode was a little on the boring side, probably Nacho's cussing was the highlight of the show.

DLH is an all time great who came into that fight dehydrated like a motherfucker, that's a fact. You don't have wars with a prime Shane Mosley on 2 occasions and look like that, without a hell of a reason.. Prime Mosley mops the floor with Manny and licks the blood off the mat..

Try training 10-15 pds over your normal weight for a fight, then sweating all that out days before the fight, when you have never cut that much weight before. Roach said he saw IV marks on DLH arms in the locker room before the fight. The man was shot before he ever got in the ring. He never should have taken the fight at that weight, but if he wanted the fight he had too as Manny and Roach said they'd never go up to 154 to face Oscar.. They were 100% afraid to fight Oscar at that weight..

that may be true, but...

Even a 100% Oscar would have lost to Pacman. Pacman destroyed him and didn't break a sweat. If it had been a close fight, your argument might have some validity. truth is, it was an anihilation from start to finish.

Oscar at 100% at age 35 fighting at that weight, yes he probably still loses but certainly Manny didn't fight Oscar at his best. Ages 26-30 fighting from Welterweight to light middleweight. Losing a razer thin SD to a prime Shane Mosley during that time, says it all.. He KO'd Vargas at his best at light middleweight, when he was on steroids. Molsley was on roids the 2nd fight and most feel he won that. Would have been nice to see Oscar young fighting at 147 face Manny but when he went up to Light Middleweight and then tried to come back down to 142, at age 35, it was too much.

Oscar fucked up when he lost to Tito. He could have easily won that fight but he was playing it safe. It's all downhill after that.

Oscar is a good guy though, I still remember when Pacman destroyed Barrera the 1st fight, Oscar was in tears.

He didn't lose to Tito in spite of playing it safe, this is what i love and hate about boxing. SD controversial losses, that fans want to use as a means of staining someones career. DLH after that fight fought and beat some great fighters. Way tougher guys than Manny has fought. And how would we view Manny's career right now, if both those fights to Marquez did not go his way? Basically all of press row thought he lost them both, but people don't talk about it because right or wrong, he got the nod on the cards. I could easily make the case to you that DLH deserved to win both fights with Mosley and the Tito fight. Mosley was roiding like a motherfucker that 2nd fight and Oscar, still landed like 150 more punches..

I don't know why anyone would write off the Mosley fight, lets hope we get them both. There can never be enough Superfights. I think the Mosley fight may be the better fight. They said it on the telecast, Shane is a natural WW, Manny isn't. JMM was humiliated by Floyd for 12 rds, he gave Manny arguably 2 losses, and one for sure draw. People need to consider that Manny may be tailor made for Floyd to hammer. He likes to attack and doesn't have the boxing skills to really threaten him in the middle of the ring, Mayweather might be the best defensive counterpuncher of all time. Anyone that has brought tons of pressure to Floyd in his career has gotten smoked and Manny can't fight him any other way..

HBO Claims 1 Million PPV Buys for Mayweather-Marquez

http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/hbo-claims-1-million-ppv-buys-for-mayweather-marquez-19957

HBO Sports announced Friday that its Sept. 19 boxing pay-per-view featuring Floyd Mayweather and Juan Manuel Marquez generated one million buys.

According to the network, that makes the event the highest performing boxing pay-per-view of the year with $52 million in pay-per-view revenue. Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions promoted the show, which featured a dominant win on points by Mayweather.

The same night that Mayweather fought Marquez in Las Vegas, UFC 103 took place in Dallas and featured a matchup between Rich Franklin and Vitor Belfort. Mayweather and UFC President Dana White bantered back and forth as the events approached. The UFC does not disclose its pay-per-view buys, but UFC 103 is not expected to match the buys that HBO claims for Mayweather-Marquez.

This won't make Floyd any easier to negotiate with..
