Next airing is Saturday September 5th at 8pm

Apparently the University of Purdue and the Americans Scociety of Civil Engineers did some scientific tests to see if the truthers' claims hold any water. Should be interesting.

I saw it, most of it.

Obviously, we all know there's going to be scaling involved in these tests, but some of them were just a little too conveniently set up to show a certain outcome. Even the testers said "the purpose of this is to show...this and that...such as" when it was already made apparent its not going to be an accurate test.

It's a very strange presentation, as the "truthers" are more calm than the very adamant "official story folk." Obviously, there's no way that controlled demolition brought down Towers 1 and 2 without leaving evidence, but Bldg. 7 was so obviously blown up it's not funny to see so many lies about it. I was left feeling nothing one way or the other, well, other than being annoyed at the voiceover lady saying "the truthers are not satisified" over and over. It's not like every critic of the 9/11 investigation belongs in the same pool, there are many different kinds of crazies out there that question the government from a variety of angles.

Don't you people have more faith in your government not to lie? Now quit your bloodclot crying and enjoy some of this delicious kool-aid. :toast

I think they should build two full-size replicas of the towers and test them with the same type of aircraft. Very reasonable.

I think someone has a picture of Dick Cheney lighting the fuse.

At least you admit that they're "crazies".

Government's lie, but facts do not.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic, but in case you are not, it's not very reasonable to build two full-size replicas of the towers. Thus, everyone knows scaling is needed but if you look at the tests they still seem to be a ways off of recreating logical approximations. But that's just to me, I know nothing of engineering but I don't think that limits my ability to ask questions.

I just find it odd that when faced with a completely unforeseen tragedy such as 9/11, as opposed to Hurricane Katrina, everyone had their positions ready and were able to execute orders flawlessly as far as clearing "evidence" and positioning for global conflict, yet the US is not any safer. Or richer. Or in a better position to continue functioning as the world power we've all been raised in.

Of course I was being sarcastic.

Your memory of that day is a lot different than mine. I seem to recall a massive amount of confusion and fuckups by various agencies involved.

What that should tell you is nothing more than that New York City had a better organized local government than New Orleans did.

After working on a model for 4 years that proved to be false of an inward collapse they pumped out another theory and threw it out under immense political pressure in about a year.

By no means do I believe that demolitions were used. There is no circumstantial evidence nor mutually exclusive physical evidence. OTOH I do believe that a more thorough investigation would have filled these holes that conspiracy theorists are exploiting.
