This has been a constant topic all season, but the latest feeling is that Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert is leaning against making a hard push to re-sign Zydrunas Ilgauskas this summer. It has gotten to the point where some of those close to Ilgauskas are actually upset the franchise isn't showing more respect for him. He came out early in the season and stated that he wanted to return, and James has made it clear that he wants him back, as does general manager Jim Paxson. Gilbert himself met with Ilgauskas and expressed his interest in him when he took control of the team.

There has been no progress, though, and no reaching out to Ilgauskas, plus Paxson appears to be on his way out. Ilgauskas' loyalty was more to former owner Gordon Gund, who paid him and supported him through his many foot injuries, than anyone else. If the current chill doesn't signal his exit, it certainly might put the brakes on his hinting that he'd be willing to give the Cavaliers a so-called ``hometown discount.''

my bucks should get him... the 15 mil we cleared up by getting rid of Van Horn could go toward Illgauskas..
