If he would return to SA, I'd be happy, but I don't see it happening.

if he comes back here i would be estatic. but if he comes back and goes to the mavericks that would piss me off to my very core.

I would be happy for him. I hope he does do that.

If another team offers him a deal that suits him professionally and personally, more power to him. I wouldn't have a problem with it.

He said in his retirement announcement that he wouldn't go play for that team unless he was traded there and was contractually obligated to.

the only way he pulls a favre is if he goes to the Lakers.

and if he was to do that, then i'd hypothetically be pissed off!

bottom line is he's gonna chill til pop picks up the phone in April.

i'd like to see him and Sean do play by play color commentary, but might be too much of a good thing!

Didn't Bruce say in his interview that he wouldn't come back?

That, and the fact that Bruce has never craved the spotlight or adulation like Favre did makes this a moot question.

well if it was a brett favre it'd be where he retired on his own terms, not being traded away by the team and then retiring.....
and then he'd show up wanting his job back way after the team moved on and replaced him
and then get all hussy about not being wanted....
but wait, are you talking about brett favre pulling a brett favre or brett favre pulling a brett favre pulling a brett favre? i guess it's not happening cause bruce would would have to do a lot of crazy shit to 'pull a brett favre'

besides, bruce would never agree to join a team provided he was allowed to skip training camp.

and btw, what is the timeframe to sign a player with bowen's status(unrestricted?) is it the same as the march 5th wavers deadline?

and once he's officially retired he would need approval from all 30 teams or something? -to leave retirement prior to the one year anniversary of retiring?(remember jason williams?)
