one problem Magik Negro has with the Repug Congressional mob is that they refuse to approve, aka they obstruct, MN from staffing the Exec branch
czars are well within his executive powers, like dubya appointing the joke Harriet Meyers, or dubya's DoJ appointing political hacks as US Attorneys, or industry lobbying foxes into BLM, FDA, Mine & Mineral, etc hen houses

Thanks. I don't see how it's keeping me honest though. Did I deny how many bush 43 had? Bueller? I knew he had czars. Didn't know he had that many and Obama has more than 32. Does your number include the one that was appointed yesterday? Huh, honest one? If you're worried about any injustice than please present me with bush 43 czars and their mis speakings. I'll be right here waiting.
I'm not worrid about the czar issue. My point is, do you think that even ONE is an unconstitutional run around? Or are the conservatives just worried about the NUMBER of czars? Or the QUALITY of the czars, perhaps?

Why won't the govt open up the files of what dubya/dickhead/connie/rummy/nsa/cia/fbi were fucking doing about terrorism from 1/20 to 9/11? why?
Because there isn't any reason to rehash old news. Everybody knows they spent that time planning how to blow up the twin towers and then pin it on some ragheads so they could have an excuse to go take all that iraqi oil for their evil oil masters.

"Because there isn't any reason to rehash old news."
it was never news, it was secret, we never saw it. The Repugs have a lot to hide, and that's why they hid it.

my only concern is who has the president's ears, whoever it is at the time. what is their accountability. and who watches over them. i believe it's called checks and balances. i don't care if it's 1 or 100 czars. i don't care who he appoints. put them in front of a confirmation hearing and we'll go from there. i know chump is just dying to throw holdren's at my face. i need to find out if what he was confirmed for is what he's actually advising obama on.

To be honest, I'm not sure on the abilities of the Cabinet members opposed to the Czars. I'd have to read up and compare before I could knowledgeably throw in my two cents.

Onion rings to find them;

It's much easier to gripe about the lack of accountability and transparency than to get informed, and demand it.

That hardly dispenses with the inconsistency. Comparisons between consecutive adminstrations and attitudes about them is hardly off base. They show the changeability in the basic views of camp followers.
Basically, Bush haters and Bush fans have swapped roles and putative values.

Because he didn't have 33 of them and his cabinet officers actually did their jobs -- not the czars underneath them.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste (http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2009/09/024469.php)
Van Jones has said some crazy things and affirmed some sick propositions, but this reflection on the state of elite education is mostly on the money:
I had a professor who encouraged me to apply to Harvard and Yale [for law school], which was almost unheard of for students coming from the kind of public schools that I was coming from in the rural South. I was accepted to both places, and decided to go to Yale because Yale didn't have any grades and was smaller than Harvard. I figured, once I enroll I'm guaranteed to graduate, so I can just go and be a radical hell raiser student, and they can't do anything about it. Which is pretty much what happened.
The only error here is Jones' assumption that Yale law school would want to do anything about a "radical hell raiser."
Jones' experiences at Yale caused Lisa Schiffren (http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=YzcyMjE2NmRiYmMwYTY5NmYyY2Q5NzY0ODkwZTIwNjI=) to wonder about President Obama's experiences at Columbia and Harvard.
We know, of course, that Barack Obama is brilliant, because everyone says so -- and he has a degree from Harvard Law School. But we know nothing about his actual education: what he studied, or how he did in his studies; what thinkers and writers (excepting Saul Alinksy) inspired him and shaped his world views. We see the credentials. What about the content?
As a law student, it appears that Jones aspired to a career as a community activist. Obama's ambitions began there but extended considerably further. Thus, it's likely that Obama approached school rather differently than Jones did. Certainly, he picked up many catch-phrases that are more pleasing to the ear than the ones Jones likes to hurl.
Whether he learned more "content" is less clear. As John has noted, Obama appears to know little about history and less about economics. But that's been pretty normal state of affairs among students at elite institutions for many years now.

It's funny how history repeats itself. It looks like Obama is going to take the full arsenal for these first years. As soon as election time comes around in 2012, I have a feeling he's going to go offensive, in Stalingrad-like pivotal fashion
Never let your dreams die hang on to them forever.
