Hope it's nothing serious.

It doesn't appear to be.

Kings' Udrih suffers minor knee injury (http://www.sacbee.com/kings/story/2159989.html)
By Sam Amick
Sacramento Bee

With the Kings' voluntary conditioning program set to begin Tuesday and training camp starting Sept. 29, their starting point guard finds himself in a less-than-desirable condition.

Beno Udrih suffered a left knee injury last Tuesday while playing for the Slovenian national team in Bonn, Germany. According to Eurobasket.com, he limped off the court in his team's Eurobasket win over Germany and is expected to miss up to three weeks.

Yet Kings basketball president Geoff Petrie said an MRI on Udrih's knee was negative and the injury is not considered serious.

"I talked to (Udrih's agent) Marc (Cornstein), and he had talked to Beno and said … that it was a strain or sprain of some kind and that he was fine," Petrie said. "I told Marc, hopefully we'll track Beno down the next day or two, too, (to talk), but he's going to stay with the team. He said (Udrih) wasn't going to play (in the remainder of Eurobasket play).

"Marc's words to me were, 'It's nothing to be concerned about.' … We'll learn more here in the next two or three days."

If the injury proves to be more serious, Petrie said, Udrih will be asked to return to Sacramento to have the team's medical staff assess the knee.

I wouldn't give two shits if his entire knee fell off his body, or both knees for that matter.

Is he injured or "injured" ?

I think it takes a player that meant more to the team than Beno to deserve being in the Spurs forum. Maybe someone like Malik Rose. However, he was with us for 2 championships, so maybe he does deserve it. For me, he was mostly just a good back-up PG that I got to call Beano. Nevertheless, it's a minor injury, so he should be fine.

I can't believe how quickly you guys turn on past players. Yes, Beno didn't accomplish much here but he was still a part of our team and I wish him and other past players well. Once a Spur, Always a Spur! Leave the purse jokes for your buddies.

I didn't say anything bad about him, but he wasn't exactly a fan favorite either. Like I said, he was just a good back-up, although he didn't play to his potential. I'm curious. What's the purse joke you're talking about?
