Seems like he failed to mention Pop.

He was going to talk about Pop and but he didn't want to not mention Brown, who was presenting him. You could see he was about to start talking about Pop but praised Brown first who was standing on the stage, and the he forgot to get back to Pop. That's the way I read it.

He forgot to mention Sean Elliott too...and I have a feeling that was the other thing he forgot.

They probably told Stockton to keep it short too...and Stockton probably figured they could go eff themselves.

They want them to keep it short so Mike can talk.

Typical Dave..

You know one of those D-Bags got in his ear about not going too long and that they were going to be cutting it close on time, so Robinson, like always, acquiesced.

Half of me is pissed that he didn't take the time on a day he had every right to, but the other half of me smiles at the humble giant who doesn't feel comfortable basking in his glow at the potential expense of his fellow inductees.

There's no reason on Earth that he should've been the first to go. He's the second biggest star in the class, no doubt the best public speaker, but the people or person that got in his ear, most likely knew they could take advantage of his kindness.

After all, what are the odds that a guy like Dave would risk running long if he knew they were short on time?

I've really come to respect, and even like, Stock and Sloan over the years. --Something I never thought I'd be able to say during the '90's :lol -- It's funny how some of the best speeches come from the guys that shun and deflect the spotlight the most. -- Hopefully, that's a good omen for Timmy when his day comes; a day in the year 2020.:hat --

"I want to thank the Spurs organization, they brought everybody out here. I appreciate that...All my teammates, Timmy (Duncan) you're my man. Have any of you guys ever got down on your knees and prayed really hard for something? That was my answer to prayer right there (pointing at Duncan)," Robinson said.

Great Speech by DRob. Definitely the best one tonight. I am confused by why he was asked to keep it short. The other inductees spoke at least 15 min. DRob spoke for about half that. Hmm...

I really enjoyed the comments he directed to his boys and his wife. I thought they were beautiful and sincere. What a role model.

TERRIBLE speech by Jordan. Seems like the guy is still bitter about A LOT of things. Stockton was decent, though some of his jokes were out right awkward (his poor wife).

True, but if they put it in his head beforehand, it's highly unlikely.

The big fella' can pontificate on occassion, though.:lol

I enjoyed his speech, as I always enjoy hearing him speak whenever the opportunity arises, -- seriously, he could read the ingredients to a box of Cap 'N Crunch and he'd have me a captive audience. -- but he did seemed rushed and unable to deliver the speech he intended.

I'd love if maybe Don Harris could get Dave to deliver his intended speech to the San Antonio fans on Sports Sunday or something, though..

Oh god I just watched all those great videos of robinson-my hero-the dude who covered my room with i think i had 6 posters at one time in a pretty small room up, ha. Just got teary eye throughout those videos. I only wish a robinson would come and grace the NBA with his talent, attitude, humanity every ten or so years but there will never be again anything like him, but those who got to watch him and follow him thru his career should all feel blessed-I know I do. At 28 I still put the man, the player on a pedastal and as a person you can only strive to be like. Love ya dave. Ya played the game right, and more importantly you've played life right.
