The signing of Allen Iverson has resulted in the biggest boom in ticket sales that the Grizzlies have ever seen.
"The last 48 hours it has been our biggest two days of sales since we started here," says Dennis O'Connor, Vice President of Ticket Sales for the Memphis Grizzlies.
The team is giving fans an Iverson jersey with the purchase of a season ticket package

Iverson still has fans. Greatest 6 foot player of all time.

Iverson is going to turn his game around this year...book it.

he can turn it around as much as he wants, but hes not winning a ring in Memphis. And unless he can transform himself into a player who can play within a team system, he has not shot of joining a contender. Hes not good enough to carry a team by himself, and must reinvent himself. Interesting crossroads.

This was a given. It's part of the reason that they signed him. Memphis knows it cannot compete in the West this year or anytime soon. Signing a player that will put butts in the seats is the next best thing.

Then we can get them on the cheap.

NBA conspiracy. Iverson's first game next season is going to be against the Pistons.

Ooh wow! This signing should put the Grizz in immediate contention - for the Draft Lottery.

Especially since they weren't already doing that, dipshit.

The Iverson signing will surely affect Mayo and Gay. For Gay however I see this as a positive thing as he does not have to force things now. I'd also say Gasols numbers will go up... but the Randolph signing nullifies my statement :depressed

Let me start by saying I really don't like the player in question, but CP3 is already a better more complete player and leader than AI ever was. The Answer was really more like The Chucker, an inefficient volume shooter who dominated the ball and left his team mates scraps wherever he went.
