Anyone care to speculate on why there's such a difference?

There's a difference between a crowd of 80,000 people and one of 2 million?

Even if we grant a number between 300-400k, the inaugural crowd was bigger by at least a factor of five.

A greater percentage of self-respecting manner-raised true middle-class people attended the Domestic Terrorist rally on 9/12 than the general trash that tends to flock to a politician like Obama.

Basically what one sees when comparing Iowa flood survivors to Louisiana flood victims. It is what it is.

All the talk radio guys are using ABC's guesstimation of over 2 million people as the number they're throwin out, but in reality ABC admitted the announcer flubbed the number.

Liberals leave a great deal of trash.

Conservative don't.

Isn't that obvious? You see it anywhere that you an compare events between the two. Been a known fact for years.

Hah, the greatest hidden insult in this article: The author stated that Kibbe was making a thirtyfold increase when reporting the amount of attendees. Shortly after this he said it is like "telling everyone that his penis is 53 inches long." It looks like he is trying to say that it is really 1.77 inches long.

Ah. Fewer coloreds. Question answered.

I don't think it has anything to do with race.mississippi which has a large number of blacks
had itself up and running while New Orleans were squatting on their haunches in their own filth debating about which conspiracy theroy they liked best.
I think rural communities have fewer people and therefore less voters than the urban areas, and so rural areas suck hind titty when it comes to the dole out.It forces people to becomes more reliant on theirselves, while in urban areas ghetto trash try and work the system for all they can, and there is a beauacracy whose occupation and own existence depends on doling out the publics money> I think ACORN has shown us all how corrupt they can be.

"There's another big problem with the photograph: it doesn't include the National Museum of the American Indian, a building located at the corner of Fourth St. and Independence Ave. that opened on Sept. 14, 2004. (Looking at the photograph, the building should be in the upper right hand corner of the National Mall, next to the Air and Space Museum.) That means the picture was taken before the museum opened exactly five years ago. So clearly the photo doesn't show the "tea party" crowd from the Sept. 12 protest."

It's not a fake photo per se -- it's just that some conservatives lied about when it was taken, which was most likely 12 years ago.

How can we trust them about anything if they can't get even the simplest facts straight?

Propaganda!

I think I was the poster that first introduced that photo to the forum. I got it from a normally reliable source who, apparently got if from one that wasn't. My bad. I apologize.

I think it's a photo of the huge Promise Keepers rally from a few years ago.

Anyway, I'm still waiting on an aerial photo of Saturday's rally. Some media are still estimating the crowd as somewhere north of 1 million but, without photographic evidence or an official estimate, that's hard to say...

Anyway, here's a video and some screen captures from Saturday's rally. The crowd is undeniably huge but without a full aerial photo, there's nothing against which to compare it.

http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff182/darleenclick/blog%20images/teapartymarchDC09.jpg (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/32813988#32813988)

MSNBC estimates 100's of thousands but, stuck with the 10's of thousands because that's the only number they got from any officials. But, if you watch the video, the MSNBC reporter says ("our people think 100's of thousands).

http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff182/darleenclick/blog%20images/teapartymarchDC.jpg

You can see the Capitol way off in the distance, down Pennsylvania Ave. Now lift that crowd from Penn Ave and put it down on the Washington Mall. I think it's a huge crowd.

Favorite sign:

I can't imagine this is a Republican but, possibly, a disillusioned Democrat?

http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff182/darleenclick/blog%20images/teapartymarchDC06.jpg

And, if you watch this video all the way through, I think you'll get a sense this movement, while admittedly comprised mainly of conservatives, is anything but a conservative movement. I think it's a fair report -- let me know what you think.

But it turns out the photo is more than 10 years old, apparently taken during a 1997 Promise Keepers rally. (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2009/sep/14/tea-party-photo-shows-large-crowd-different-event/)

There's a whole lotta broken promises in that picture.
