Did you ever post against the presence of czars in a Republican administration?

Not that I recall. But, I didn't bitch about Clinton's either.

What's different about how Obama has approached the czar system? Can you tell me?

What's different about how Obama has approached the czar system? Can you tell me?Nothing. It's pretty much the same as every president since Nixon.

The big difference is the blogs you read say they are somehow bad now since it's Obama who is appointing them.

Boo!

Nothing. It's pretty much the same as every president since Nixon.
Except for the number of czars and the powers they possess.

Boo!
:lmao You're funny sometimes.

From Nixon to Bush, the czars have largely been ceremonial, becoming the public face for programs others were responsible for running. Drug Czar being one of the first of these...

Obama is putting these people in charge of policy and multi-billion dollar progams and they're unaccountable to anyone.

That's the difference.

Obama is putting these people in charge of policy and multi-billion dollar progams and they're unaccountable to anyone.

That's the difference. How many czars did Bush have again?

So how many czars did Bush have?
I said, I don't know. But, not so many who were in charge of so much of the government that anyone noticed or raised a stink about it.

How many did he have?

I know how many Obama has...well, had. It was up to 33 before Van Jones left. That's a lot of unaccountable bureaucrats...many of them with co-equal duties with appointed Secretaries (where Obama has bothered to make appointments at all).

His lack of making appointments has grown into somewhat of a scandal in and of itself.

I said, I don't know. You might want to find out.
But, not so many who were in charge of so much of the government that anyone noticed or raised a stink about it.As I said, the people who write the blogs you read got upset, so naturally you did as well.

How many did he have?Don't you think that might be something you should know before declaring what czars did under Bush?

I know how many Obama has...well, had. It was up to 33 before Van Jones left. That's a lot of unaccountable bureaucrats...many of them with co-equal duties with appointed Secretaries (where Obama has bothered to make appointments at all).Where did you get that number?

A blog perhaps?

Maybe you should find out how many Bush had.

His lack of making appointments has grown into somewhat of a scandal in and of itself. He's got about as many approved as Bush did at this point -- but again, your puppetmasters won't put that in their blogs.

You might want to find out.
Why?

As I said, the people who write the blogs you read got upset, so naturally you did as well.
Well, if the mainstream media would report on it, I would have heard it from them.

Don't you think that might be something you should know before declaring what czars did under Bush?
No.

Where did you get that number?

A blog perhaps?
Like I've said, the mainstream media seems less than curious about a whole range of matters related to the Obama administration. From communist advisors to their firing of ACORN from assisting with the census.

Fox news did carry this report...they're not a blog.

Some Question Whether Obama Has Too Many 'Czars' (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/07/14/question-obama-czars/)

But, reliably left-wing Reuters noticed too:

Obama fashions a government of many czars (http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSTRE54S5U120090529)

Maybe you should find out how many Bush had.
Why? It's irrelevant. He's not the president and, as I've already said, the issue didn't become an issue. Even in here, if I recall...and, I'm sure had my conservative bloggers not discussed but, you did, I would have known about it. Apparently, liberal bloggers didn't see it as an issue either.

He's got about as many approved as Bush did at this point -- but again, your puppetmasters won't put that in their blogs.
Obama has filled 231 of 501 appointed positions requiring Senate approval. That's less than 50%. I can't find where Bush was at the end of 8 months.

Why?You might be surprised.

Well, if the mainstream media would report on it, I would have heard it from them. What mainstream media do you normally consume?

No.Of course not. You don't know how many they were or what they did, but you were told Obama is doing something evil with them, so obviously Bush had to have only had two of three and you knew exactly what their duties were through some kind of supernatural dispersal of knowledge.

Like I've said, the mainstream media seems less than curious about a whole range of matters related to the Obama administration. From communist advisors to their firing of ACORN from assisting with the census.I saw them both in the mainstream media. I'm going to speculate you don't look much.

Fox news did carry this report...they're not a blog.

But, reliably left-wing Reuters noticed too:

Why? It's irrelevant. If some are questioning if he has too many, the number of czars under other presidents is very relevant.

He's not the president and, as I've already said, the issue didn't become an issue. Even in here, if I recall...and, I'm sure had my conservative bloggers not discussed but, you did, I would have known about it. Obama has filled 231 of 501 appointed positions requiring Senate approval. That's less than 50%. I can't find where Bush was at the end of 8 months.:lol Gee, what blog did you get that from that didn't have any numbers for comparison?

I thought czar was Newspeak for sub cabinet level appointments of various kinds.

Some of the jobs have been around for awhile; it's the title of "czar" that's new in most cases, rather than the post itself.
