Human Resources Manager - Spurs Sports & Entertainment (San Antonio, TX)

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Human Resources
Direct Reports: Designated HR Staff

CAPSULE POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Performs and manages tactical Human Resources related duties at the professional level for Spurs Sports & Entertainment with emphasis on baseline administration of people and data. This includes employee relations, employee recognition and reward programs, compensation and benefits administration, and policy creation and enforcement to ensure that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, the position works closely with the Senior Director of Human Resources in developing, implementing and evaluating HR policies, programs, functions, and activities.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrated alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaboration with key internal/external resources and 3) Ongoing self development.

KRA'S (Key Responsibility Areas):
1. Develop, implement, and manage procedures, communications, and processes related to recruiting, HR administration, and benefits.
2. Responsible for day-to-day employee relation issues including, conducting investigations, involving appropriate authorities or personnel, providing coaching and recommendations as needed to employees.
3. Manage and oversee benefits administration, billing, correspondence, compliance, reporting, and communication.
4. Develop, maintain, and coordinate employee rewards and recognition programs to include ensuring that all communications meet internally-set quality and consistency standards and incorporate HR messages into enterprise-wide communication vehicles.
5. Contribute to and participate in the development and management of the Human Resources department strategic goals, objectives and budget.
6. Ensure company compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies through interpretation, advising, and providing necessary training for all levels of employees.
7. Develop, evaluate, and implement efficient processes and procedures to support overall organizational strategies and goals. Provide support, research, reports, and recommendations requested by Senior Human Resources Employees and Management.

The following measurement methods are intended to provide a sound basis for assessing the performance of the jobholder in this position. Although numerous methods are listed as suggested measurements the supervisor may elect to select only specific ones based on the need of the company at any point in time.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or comparable years of experience
• A minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in a HR Manager Role
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
• Knowledge of principles, applicable employment laws, regulations, and practices of HR
• Experience in employee relations is required
• Working knowledge of Ultipro is a plus
• Effective oral and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
