Works fine for me. But it's not gonna give you an "energy buzz". I do remember those days when just plain coffee would give me a nice caffeine buzz. I was so young and impressionable then.

Um that is kinda the point. You are not supposed to get an energy buzz from it. It is only supposed to make you more alert. Didn't you see the commercial? Other brands may make you feel like an older man jumping up and down the aisle next to the cubicles with your arms raised, but then comes the debilitating crash, after which you become a blonde crack-whore sitting in a chair with your head resting on your hand. 5-hour energy doesn't do this.
