I remember the dude was real good vs LA back in 2008. I hope he takes Sasha's minutes as well.

He's where Ariza was when LA brought him in.

I have no idea who this guy is, but hey, we got an open roster spot. Give him a shot. That would be funny if he took Sasha's minutes.

So THAT's where he went. He played well against the Lakers and seemed quite talented.

good shooter when he's open and good defender. But too soft imo.

I really liked this guy's game when he played for Seattle. He had a few good games against LA that I can remember off the top of my head.

If he can take Sasha's minutes I'm all for it. The Lakers have had a lot of good luck in finding gems out of players that didn't cut it elsewhere in the league (most notably Ariza and Brown).

Very decent pickup! I like his game but he still is a bit raw. Hope he can develop in LA :tu

Damn good pickup for the Lakers. Mitch has had a recent history of picking up guys who turn out to be contributors. This is a low risk high reward move for the Champs.

Lakaluva is dead on, this is very similar to the Ariza pickup. A long, athletic power forward who is very raw. If he can develop a shot like Ariza did, he'll be a very effective compliment to Artest at SF.

If he's a PF, why would he take away Sasha's minutes?

I had hoped the Spurs would make a play for Gelabale. Well done by the Lakers' FO, no risk involved, and he could really fill a gap for them off the bench with Sasha's diminished play. Gelabale had a reputation as a outside sharp-shooter coming over from what I recall, and though he never fulfilled those expectations, he's got great defensive upside and will fit in well.

Before talking about a player, it would be somewhat interesting to know him.
I don't know about who some of you are talking in this thread but it isn't Gelabale.

Why don't you fill people in then? In the meantime: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Mickael-Gelabale-104/
