So yes, the cop was a bit of a dick. Insisting I refer to him as "officer so-and-so" when I met him. He approached the car, I said "hey officer" and he lectured me on how he's an officer of the law and was in shock that I addressed him with a "hey". Hey then lectured me on hitting the "OK" button when I signed my ticket because he didn't "instruct" me to do so.
Every encounter I've had before this has been pleasant. But as in every profession, there's always some jackass in a bad mood.
So I plan on pleading not guilty to this bitch. How does that typically work? Has anyone here pleaded not guilty to a ticket before? How did that go?

You can change the addy on your license on-line and it should only cost you about $20 (instead of the TERRIBLY outrageous $240 or so).

Generally, I plead not guilty every time I got a ticket. Almost all of the time the cop never showed up so the tickets got dismissed. One of them did show up once but it was still dismissed (was a ticket for a broken tail light and going 4mph over the speed limit :rolleyes ) had the tail light fixed that same day and got a reciept to prove it, the judge just laughed at the 4mph over and chastised the officer a bit so it was worth it.

How on earth do you expect to get away with a NG plea when you DIDN'T actually change your address? How much did he write you up for on the speeding side?

You've been pretty lucky then, I got pulled over for following to close and thought I'd plead NG and hoped that the cop wouldn't show but just my luck he did. I had no defense and he came at the court with all his notes and a demonstration...needless to say I didn't win and had to pay 190.00 bucks :bang
