I can't believe believe I witnessed that beatdown right in the Bell Center


We had a great 1st period and then we stopped playing.

I don't want to take anything away from the Caps, they played well and Varlamov was great, but we stopped doing the things that had made us successfull in Washington.

In a nutshell, we played like shit during the last 2 periods.


And Ovechkin blew kisses to the crowd when he scored; the guy next to me was pissed but I liked it :lol

Boudreau`s adjustments were good; the first 3 goals were scored by the grinders; in the playoffs, you need your 3rd and 4th to perform, and those guys delivered.

It's possible to have a Pens-Caps Finals in the East. A lot of things would have to happen if there is even a chance of it happening. The Pens and Caps would have to win their first round series. The Flyers and Bruins would have to complete their first round upsets. The playoffs are different in hockey than they are in basketball. Hockey does the right thing and the highest seeded team always plays the lowest seeded team. If all of the teams in the East that have 3-1 leads in their series win and go the next round, The Caps would play the Flyers and the Pens would play the Bruins in the second round.

BTW, Halak was fucking amazing in Game 6. That was one of the more ridiculous goaltending displays I have ever seen. Its a very distant second place to Giguere in '03, but its some of the finest I have seen in this decade.

You must have me mistaken with someone who blames the refs for anything. San Jose whopped the Wings asses fair and square.

Refs had the most effect on Game 3, but really, thats it. Wings showed up to play in Game 4.

Beyond that, San Jose ate their lunch all over the ice.

Moreover, the Pens beat the Wings fair and square last year, too. Did the refs have something to do with it? No, penalties had something to do with it.

My only problem when it comes to conspiracy is scheduling and travel.

If they lost Game 5, no matter how many games the series went, the Cup Finals wouldnt start until 8 days fucking later.

Mind you, this is the series Datsyuk got injured in Game 3, Hossa missed a game and Lidstrom had to have surgery on one of his testicles from getting speared (he missed Game 1 and 2, I think?).

Refs had the most effect on Game 3, but really, thats it. Wings showed up to play in Game 4.

Beyond that, San Jose ate their lunch all over the ice.

If they lost Game 5, no matter how many games the series went, the Cup Finals wouldnt start until 8 days fucking later.

Mind you, this is the series Datsyuk got injured in Game 3, Hossa missed a game and Lidstrom had to have surgery on one of his testicles from getting speared (he missed Game 1 and 2, I think?).
