D-League owner sets stakes for 1-on-1 (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4495907&campaign=rss&source=NBAHeadlines)

LEHI, Utah -- The owner of the Utah Jazz's NBA Development League team wants to see Michael Jordan go 1-on-1 against Bryon Russell one more time.

Brandt Andersen is offering a $100,000 donation to the charity of the winner's choice if he can get Jordan and Russell to play a game of 21.

Jordan's jumper over Russell in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA finals gave the Chicago Bulls a 4-2 series win over Utah. Jazz fans still insist Jordan pushed off Russell.

During Jordan's Hall of Fame speech, he said he was motivated by Russell's trash talk toward him during his first retirement.

Andersen says he has spoken to Russell and left a message for Jordan through a mutual friend. Andersen's suggestion: Jordan vs. Russell during halftime of the Utah Flash's home opener.

Right now Russell would wipe the floor with Jordan given how fat he's become, however I have no doubt that if MJ takes this on he'll delay it for 3 months to get in shape, then whip Russell's arse.

iggy - who is that in your sig? Looks like Terry farrell, but it's not. Whoever she is, she's my (physical) type. :)

so lemme get this straight. He's gonna get Jordan, who was just inducted into the Hall, to play a game of 21 against another oldie, in which he runs a risk (albeit slight) of embarrassing himself? And after we have all forgotten or forgiven his ill-fated Wwwizards return? And he thinks making his winnings (a paltry 100 grand in Jordan standard of currency) go to charity will entice M.J. to swallow this pill? M.J. is suddenly King Philanthropy?... :lol Well, now we know someone in Utah does drugs.

Don't need to offer any money. Just put Bryon Russell in some gym shorts and wave him in front of Michael. If Jordan sees him in gym shorts, he's coming after him.

The thing is Jordan owns a vacation home in Park City so its not like he would be going way out of his way to come here. Just have him fly his ass to his vacation house and lets get it on. Russell would get his ass kicked but I still wanna watch. BTW Mr. anderson has to be the best D-league owner in basketball. First the call out to Marbury, then forking over some charity dough for a jordan russell rematch.. I love this guy.. Kind of wish he'd buy the jazz.. LOL

& still cuts another way= have Bryon take the gym shorts off. Ipso facto, Jazzy is coming after him.

This would be interesting. I wonder if they will be comfortable in the longer shorts though.

MJ's pride is the ONLY thing that will make him do this. That is if he ends up doing this.
