...when the level of anti-Clinton rhetoric ever reached this level? And, are the Bush opponents, in this forum ashamed, equally offended as I, or supportive of such nonsense?

So, a gun to the president's head over the caption "Patriot Act" and a t-shirt exhorting people to "Kill Bush," are just "better...ideas?"

Wow. Okay then.

Free ad on the Drudge Report.. They're just drawing people to their website. I doubt anyone would have the balls to wear that shirt anywhere, but I could be wrong.

It's definitely tasteless, but I can't say I'm outraged, because outrage contains an element of surprise, and I'm not surprised at all.

Yeah, I'm betting you'd be wrong...

It'll probably be revealed as the assassin pulls back his trench coat to attempt to kill the president and, in the process of getting himself offed, takes out some innocent bystanders.

They'll probably sell as a novelty item... much like those "Jesus is my Homeboy" shirts. But I only saw those shirts in stores... never saw anyone actually wear one.

Then again, I am in Texas and don't frequent raves and PETA meetings, so...

We'll see...

But, outrage over ridiculing religion has never been a problem here.

Start talking about killing the president and...well, I'm sure the Secret Service is getting some practical experience on their interrogations skills this week.

see....here's a liberal...and a better idea.

frankly these things are only worth the attention they recieve.

pay no attention. the effect diminishes.

but BUSH is OUR PRESIDENT, so i agree, there are scraping the bottom of the barrell here, and might as well have a stamp commemmorating 9/11 with a couple planes about to impact the WTC.

What would be nice to see is a lawsuit by the studio for use of a copyrighted logo. It's rarely something that's enforced, but I think it's warranted in this case.

To paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen, "I knew Yonivore and, I, sir, am no Yonivore." But, thank you for the compliment.

As far as making my outrage apparent, I thought it was inferred from my original post...I don't think I belabored the point. I was merely curious as to why it seems acceptable with this President when assassination "jokes" have been taboo for as long as any of us have been alive.

I don't recall anyone advocating his assassination either. I dare say if they had and if it were conservatives doing so, you would have seen conservatives calling out their own.

Oh yeah Dan, I totally see the equivalence of advocating the assassination of a sitting president and making jokes at the philandering ways of another president!

Gun to the Bush's head...Bill displaying a Penthouse magazine....Totallythe same.

I was looking at some pretty floral stamps and the woman next to me was looking at the Ronald Reagan Stamps. So she fingers the stamps and turns to me, and says "I wish they had George W. Bush Stamps". I said "That would require him to be dead." and she smiled and said "Exactly"! and walked away!

The whiney right wing has to have something to pout about. I heard Rush raging on about this today. Some moron makes a t-shirt and the Republicans have their bowels in an uproar. We are talking about some schmuck with a computer.

I don't remember how it went but I do recall a guy telling me a joke and the punch line was about shooting Clinton.

I would not be suprised if the above "jokes" were created by a Free Republic brownshirt to have something to whine about. Conservatives are at their best when they are whining they are the victim.

It's gratifying to see that threats against the President's life are taken seriously around here.

I'm sure the Secret Service is looking into it.

In case you fuckwads didn't know, talk like that can land you in front of a Secret Service investigation.

Post ANYWHERE where I called for or agreed with anything calling for Clinton to be killed.

Go ahead, fuckwad, do it. I dare you.

Otherwise...STFU.

the secret service needs to be out trying to stop money launderers and not wasting their time busting people who exploit photshop for shock value
I would think some background checks on the nutjob would be sufficient. Would be pretty negligient to just completely blow it off.
