Why bother with a remake of a classic?

The guy who played Rohrshach is Kruger so that might be good.

#@$@!#@$#@$#$!@#$#@$#@$e!#@$@# Why mess with a classic? Rob zombie already messed up Halloween with his white trash vision.

The original is only scary if you're a kid. Watch it as an adult and it's a comedy. Too bad they didn't cast Zack Efron as Johnny Depp's character I would've gladly paid nine dollars to see his bed swallow him and take him to hell.

PASS

I already fell for a Bay-produced horror remake...

This is not a real trailer IIRC. This is what some film students made to show what it would look like if Michael Bay were to direct it. They have it for others as well. This is not an actual trailer for a movie that is coming out.

Edit: Never mind. After doing some research, this appears to be legit. There are a bunch of trailers on youtube like the one I was speaking about.

Remakes are hot right now. That's because people can't come up with original shit. If you were going to do a horror remake right now, I would rather see a Hellraiser remake or prequel than Nightmare on Elm Street.

I agree but I will probably go and watch it. Hopefully its not as dissapointing as Rob Zombie's H2

we now have a guy with a christian bale-batman voice acting complex playing freddy krueger in a remake of a movie that is impossible to make scary as a remake, also produced by michael bay.

Fuck Michael Bay... where's the humor? The best part about the Nightmare movies was that Freddy was freakin' hilarious.

My top 3 Freddy lines:

3. "Let's get high"
2. "You can check in, but you can't check out"
1. "Now you're playing with power!"

The first two were not like that.
It wasn't until it became an obvious franchise that he started getting all funny. I agree though. There aren't enough movies that mix in the humor with the horror. That's why I gave Drag Me To Hell a chance.

1. "Now you're playing with power!"

My favorite of the bad Freddy lines.

I, for one, am fucking glad that they are not trying to make another Freddy movie as a Comedy/horror.

Get back to the scarry shit and leave it at that. I'm fucking tired of seeing comedy scenes in horror movies.... its just fucking wrong.

most first movies are horror based. A good example is Childs Play. Childs Play was pretty scary as a kid. But it just kept getting funnier as the sequels kept getting made.

Child's Play 3 was the best combination of horror and comedy for that franchise.

After that it was just flat out awful.

part 3 had some great lines
like when Chucky is about to steal that little black kid tyler's soul..."Just think! Chucky's gonna be a bro!"

Freddy scared me as a kid, but this guy....

Scared the shit out of me, part 2 is the best imo. I remember when I first saw them they showed part 1 and 2 together.

I have all the Elm street and Hellraiser movies on my portable hard drive and watch them on my Xbox/PS3.

To this day I haven't watched a single Hellraiser movie. They're probably instant play on Netflix...

My father let me watch The Howling when I was six (Mom was pissed off). I spent every night of the following three weeks either under my bed or sleeping on the little rug next to theirs :lol
Living in the woods in the middle of nowhere and occasionally hearing the coyotes howl at night did not help. Even now, though, I never miss a new werewolf movie. That fright created a fascination that will probably last my lifetime.
