As far as I can tell, all these movies were made by Hollywood studios -- so the OP doesn't seem to make much sense.

There are several classic movies that do not need to be remade, remaked or whatever. That's the point of this thread. Not what your favorite movie is.

Singing in the RainI only wish Singin' in the Rain had been shot in a widescreen format. I don't think there could be any way to recapture the spirit of those Gene Kelly films.
