ok so after a whole day of playing yesterday I do like the game even with the speed of it being slower. Only thing that is frustrating is that its like you have limited control of your player. If they fix that then its perfect to me.

I know alot of the people that was in our Spurstalk league should love the game because everyone wanted it to be slow and about strategy and thats pretty much what this is.

That's what kills fast break on this game. If you steal the ball, don't expect a free basket. I dislike that. I doubt I'll ever pop this game back in my 360.

Every 2k on the dreamcast felt like a roster and graphics update but i still liked it. The best 2k imo was 2k5. Just a real good version.

I dont think making it has ever been an issue, it just finding the players and then making sure we stay committed. I would start it as soon as possible so that we can get it started while the game is still fresh and we want to play it. If not lets just run online team gams or some shit. Lets get something started up. I been having issues connecting to the servers still. I will they would fix this shit. Its been like three years of bullshit issues with that the 2k servers. :bang

No fantasy draft, I figured that would be way too hard with everyone busy with school/work now. Anything else IMO is open to change, I set it for 5 min QTs and Superstar difficulty. I set the number of team to 14 just to make sure in case there was a high demand.

I'm very open to making a new league with a FF, but why don't we use a league as a way to figure out how this game works and get better? That was my thinking. I understand and agree with the contender argument.

Maybe it is a setting I have yet to discover but guys I am having issues with the fatigue. I am playing 10 minute quarters yet my guys energy levels are going down rapidly. I even changed the stamina levels on the game sliders and it isn't make it better. It is like this for any team I start with.

I love the fatigue on 2k10. After some guy turbos his way to the hole and dunks on your entire team with LeBron for the 3rd straight time, he's not that good until he subs out for a minute.

No more holding turbo all the time is a huge plus. Like said, it makes it a lot harder to whore out a player for lengthy periods of time which is way more realistic. Dunno why they didn't do that shit earlier. Just don't hold down turbo unless you need it and watch the stamina bar.

Also, the autoguard is a lot fairer. You have to anticipate moves instead of just holding the button and waiting for them to do a move. Plus, it tires you out faster.

The post play, and just scoring/defense around the basket, is the best its ever been.

A solid entry, undeniably. I like the reduced player ratings best - no more scrubs burning you for 20 when you're not even doubling off of em or anything.

ehh association mode is the best its ever been for 2k. It (association mode) the reason I play bball games - running through 82 games and the PO for a title is really great if you don't cheat (ie turn off the console if you lose type thing). There's some nice stuff in 2k10. You can actually do a practice with your guys ie shoot with them, run plays with them, etc (believe it or not, that wasn't possible til this version). The amount of info/stats you can get concerning teams and players, contract situations, drafting/picks etc has always been really indepth, and the actual player/team ratings themselves are fairly accurate for a change. No one ever likes everything, but this version kicks ass IMO.

And if you want phoney/glitchy, NBA Live will surely do the trick. I've played every NBA live since 03 and they just don't hold a candle to the 2k series. At least if you want the opposite of 'phoney' in your basketball game.

BTW, my player ratings usually improve pretty vastly ... you're doing something wrong with your assigned roles/minutes if your players are unhappy...

Totally worth it compared to 2k9. If you like a more simulation like game then you made a good choice. The new game pace is great and overall they fixed a lot of issues from the last version. No more Beno Udrih dropping 20 on you because he can't miss from 3pt range :toast

Mine tends to get 'laggy' after a couple games or so when players attempt shots around the basket. Apparently a lot of people are having this problem judging from recent reports and the 2k forum. Any of you getting that? I don't mean online, just quick game or association.

Besides this issue which is being addressed in a patch soon, I'd have to say this is the best 2k yet.

when i first got drafted and all the crap it said the team that drafted me didn't want to keep me but i could sign with any other team and i picked detroit and it made me go to portland and after every game it says you have a big decsion to make to switch teams but it never lets me switch

just found out on franchise mode that the FT shooting gets irritating if theres like an info sheet(ex. team standings) showing in the middle of the screen, it doesn't disappear and you have to shoot the ft. I like it how they try to make it more realistic by saying what players did last game. But do it right, and don't leave big pages in front of the screen.

Also, i hate the camera angles when shoot ft's, they expect you to make a ft when they are having a close up on the players face.
