Her star shines for only a minuscule portion of the electorate, the red-state, non-thinking rabble and others eternally susceptible to tongue-twisted, anti-grammatic gibberish. She's electoral poison.
She is pretty good looking but she needs her jaw lightened and her nose de-masculinized. :)

Joking aside, the book I think will be a hit with buyers from both sides. Any liberal pundit who wants a piece of her roasting will but the book, looking for stuff to use against her. Many of us conservatives see a real American in her rather than an elite politician.

The book is already at #3 on the Amazon.com list - and it's not even printed yet. They're doing an initial printing of 1 million copies.
While we're talking about books - Mark Levin's book "Liberty and Tyranny" has sold over 1 million copies and was #1 for 10 consecutive weeks on the NYT list - yet no one has talked about it. And Glen Beck's new book "Arguing with Idiots" is #1. Quite interesting that all these conservatives are having enormous success with their books.

not too bright are you?
in this day and age when we say politicians/celebrities "write" books, they always have help from many real writers. this is a known fact.
But ultimately that politician/celebrity is the decider of what should go in the book or not. That decider is who we call the writer.

no. I disagree. Palin is a great speaker. She is probably a great writer too, her cursive must be a beauty.
She is just not a great thinker. Something that is required to handle making a book. That is my evidence.
Guys, you just don't get Sarah Palin. She quit her job because she loves America. She's a great mother too. Her daughter, Bristol, has lead one of the most effective and genuine campaigns for abstinence ever. Sarah should be proud. By telling us in an interview to promote abstinence that abstinence "wasn't realistic", Bistol won over my heart as well. And she's an especially carrying and articulate young woman, look how she first broke the news to her mom that she was pregnant:
"And so finally, my best friend just, like, blurted it out. And it was just, like, I don't even remember it because it was just, like, something I don't want to remember."
Oh Sarah. You're not just the world's #1 mom. You're #1 in my heart.

It will be interesting to see what the future brings for Sarah. It's clear from the posts in this thread, and many other threads, that libs will believe what they want to believe and nothing is going to change their mind. Sarah was mishandled by the McCain people and was overcoached and over managed. I think we'd have seen a far different Sarah if they'd just let her be herself.
But I still believe that McCain probably would've won only Arizona and Texas if he hadn't picked her for his VP - she was the one who breathed life into his dying campaign.

COURIC: "Why isn't it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families who are struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? Allow them to spend more, and put more money into the economy, instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?"
PALIN: "That's why I say I, like every American I'm speaking with, were ill about this position that we have been put in. Where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy. Um, helping, oh, it's got to be about job creation, too. Shoring up our economy, and getting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions, and tax relief for Americans, and trade -- we have got to see trade as opportunity, not as, uh, competitive, um, scary thing, but one in five jobs created in the trade sector today. We've got to look at that as more opportunity. All of those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bail out is part of that."

This was posted on Politico on August 31st. More "proof" that nobody likes her or wants to hear from her... :rolleyes
Former Alaska (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0709/25660.html) Gov. Sarah Palin (http://topics.politico.com/index.cfm/topic/sarahpalin) this week will begin accepting and rejecting the more than 1,070 invitations she has received for paid speeches and political appearances since she resigned from office, aides said.
Twenty speakers’ bureaus made offers to represent her. She has signed with Washington Speakers Bureau, which represents everyone from George and Laura Bush to Bob Woodward and Katie Couric to Alan Greenspan, Colin Powell and Rudy Giuliani.
More than 950 requests for speeches have poured in for Palin (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0809/26230.html), and over 120 candidates for office have asked her to appear, including folks running for Senate, House and state Legislature, aides said.

Crookshanks is really putting a beatdown on that straw man.
She also got a 7 million dollar advance from a very liberal publisher - so I guess they know more than you guys here.
lol, have you not been reading this thread?
We've pretty much all agreed this book is going to sell. I mean it has two huge target audiences, very stupid people and people who want a good laugh.

I buy most of my books used or distributor sendbacks. I'm sure I'll be able to pick up a remainder copy of Palin's book for $2 if I am inclined to do so.

No, Reagan was not an easy target and neither was GHW Bush. W, however, was.
Yes, I was talking about W, the one who actually won multiple elections, in spite of being "an easy target". Reagan was not an easy target? The dummy was treated with even more condescension, scorn, contempt and lack of manners than Mrs. Palin, not only by leftists but also the dominant cast of east coast republicans and basically the entire media-academic complex.
