The Dallas Mavericks welcomed a new member to the team today. Scouted and plucked from a local church league Tamm Llorrac has lead his league in scoring and head bands used per season for the last 5 years.
"It's all happening so fast and we hate to see him go, but it is what's best for his career," said church alderman and head coach Rory Price. "I am just glad that Mavericks owner Mark Cuban happened to be taking advantage of the Annual Pancake Breakfast this morning in the church gym at the same time the team was practicing." added Price.
"I could tell in his pre-practice jumping jacks routine that Tamm was different than the other players and had what it took to play in the NBA. I have always said I don’t care if you developed your game on Mars... if you can play the game at the highest level the Mavericks will give you a look!" stated Cuban still wearing the pancake syrup stained shirt from his morning visit to the church fundraiser.
“When I woke up today I could have never imagined that I would be playing basketball in the Dallas Mavericks training camp. If I wasn’t in camp right now I would be at the church gym practicing my underhand free throws and doing my deep knee bends.”
Mavericks training camp runs through late September with final cuts announced just before the regular season. Pull up your knee-high socks and cross your fingers for the Mavericks newest player makes the squad.
The NBA may as well size their fingers for rings now... :depressed
