Darko Milicic is actually arguably the most important piece of that Pistons team. Had they not drafted him, they wouldn't have ended up trading for Rasheed, who turned out to be the teams most important player.

At least Williams had a really good game 6 in eliminating Detroit in the ECF that year. I can't think of a positive contribution Antoine Walker ever made to the sport of basketball.

Funny how you scream collusion in one post... than refer to Gasol as Gasoft in another. So the Lakers colluded for a soft player? Why would that bother you?

Glenn Robinson was a big part of the Spurs coming back from a 17-4 deficit in the first quarter to win game 1 of the Finals. He came in and blocked 3 shots right away, and turned the momentum 180 degrees. The Spurs looked like they were about to be destroyed in that game until he came in.

As for Rider, was he even on the Lakers once the 2000 playoffs began? Mitch Richmond in 02 might have been a better choice here.

Dwayne Wade is a hell of a player, but the finals were crooked that year. I refuse to acknowledge the outcome when the refs are sending the guy to the line for fun, while letting our guys get raped at the other end. Our guys had to resort to playing way back and not really defending him for fear of another phantom whistle, allowing him to hit some wide open jumpers. Look at the tape, most of his jumpers weren't even contested. The whole world outside of spurfan saw what really happened. For these reasons, the entire 2006 Heat team is undeserving of anything other than an EC Championship

But, Mavs_man, you must acknowledge it. To do otherwise makes your participation further a moot point. You can't accept the title(s) (that in some % of possibility/probability are coming) without accepting this outrage ('06). It is that way and & has to be that way.

The clarified topic isn't about how much the Lakers extorted from Grizzlies. As you just mentioned, it was before the Lakers became a title contender that happened those significant positive changes including the swap of Gasol and Kwame Brown. You just proved my point that Kobe didn't achieve shit with a bunch of sorry fucks while Lebron did make NBA finals in 07. Anyway Luke Walton and Smush Parker weren't as bad as Lebron's sorry fellows like Eric Snow, Larry Hughes etc...

Again.. Lebrons path to the finals was through a pathetically weak eastern conference. Kobe and those scrubs took a Phoenix team that was one Horry hip check away from the finals to 7 games so it's not nearly as lopsided as you make it sound.

Smush I lasted a half of a year in the league after the Lakers dumped him Parker > Eric Snow? :lmao
