Game is freaking awesome. Downloaded the demo at like 1:30 this morning and played it. The flow is beautiful. Guess the money they spent on bringing in NBA 2K's lead designer was worth it. IMO it's MUCH better than 2K10. Phenomenal.

played 2k10 last night and as far as i could tell it plays the same as 2k9 except it is of a more realistic pace. graphics are a tad better and certain things the players do add a bit more realism to the game but overall not much different imo to 2k9.

Both games have pro's and cons. Still Live 10 is more of an arcade game while 2k10 is more of a simulation. Depends on what someone likes... I'll stick with 2k10 - EA has let me down so often... furthermore I can get 2k10 for about 25 bucks.

Live 10 seems like a huge improvement so far. I'll have to rent it to see if the playbooks can compare at all to 2k's though.

Improved - but not a huge improvement. It's definitely going to be a tough battle between those two games. I'd get both if I had a xbox360, but since only 2k10 will be released for pc it's a no brainer for me.

Agreed

NBA Live 96-99 were good. NBA Live 2000 was amazing. Live 2001 was complete garbage. I never played Live 2002. NBA Live 2003 was great. Live 2004-05 sucked. 06 was ok. 07-09 were horrible.

last night i played live'10 for the first time... thing i don't like about it at all is being on the defensive end. i can't figure shit out as far as defense is concerned. offense is pretty smooth though.

if i had to compare the two games i'd still say 2k10 comes out on top but live'10 was fun nonetheless.

Yeah, 2k10 is still a clearly better game, but it's nice to see EA on the right track. When did Live stop being made for PC?

I was really disappointed by NBA 2k9 on PC. It looked like crap on a system that played resource hogs like Oblivion and Fallout 3 flawlessly.

bought Live today...defense is a little awkward, but the offensive gameplay is amazing..I love it.

I purchased live bc 2k was becoming stale to me after 10yrs of playing it.....For those who say live is arcady are wrong. In Live 10 there isn't cheese like in 2k were one can get to lane at will and dunk with Kobe, LB etc.... This game actually has passing lanes were if u don't have the angle it will be a steal. It's obvious the former 2k producer Mike Wang who left for EA 2 years ago has left is mark on The game. While 2k is still the better game, Live 10 is refreshing change and will be a beast of a game in '11

Was Live 2000 the one with Duncan on the cover? That was the first Live game I played, and it's still the best. I must've burned a copy for everyone in my class.

That would be it. After the phenomenal success of 2000, EA slashed budget and laid off tons of their best developers and producers, and ended up putting out the absolute worst NBA Live ever (Live 01) the next season.

Figuring out the defense a lot better. And sribb43 is exactly right. I played 2K10 and Live...2K is more like an arcade game to me. You have the passing stick in Live, and can get some great on the move passes, but if your man isn't right where he's supposed to be, or if a defender is in the passing lanes, it won't magically get past them to the player..it will go out of bounds, or be stolen. It's more like real basketball than 2K to me.

You didn't know that? Yeah..you should watch the development videos and see what's changed. It's completely different from what EA has done in the past. IMO it's a lot better than 2K..just my opinion, though.

After seeing all of the development videos and reading the blogs on Madden 10, then actually playing that piece of shit, it's really hard to believe EA on anything.

Finding a few things that need to be fixed on Live 10, and then it would perfect. First off, there's a fucking bug that pisses me off...it is stuck on Auto-Sub. Like, for some reason, I am a monster with Michael Finley and Richard Jefferson on the game, and have some difficulty with shooting with Manu, so every now and then, I'll sub Manu out for Finley, but the next stoppage of play, they'll take Finley out. And this is with it on manual. They also have a part of the game where someone will be falling out of bounds and try to save the ball. They'll let them knock the ball, but sometimes it will just go out of bounds. Even if the guy on the other team doesn't touch it, they guy who tried to save it but failed will get the ball. Kind of irritating. I've lost a couple of games because of this.

If you like EA Sports games, it says a lot about how little you know about gaming, as well as your intelligence level. Madden is the exception, because they monopolized the market and NFL fans need a fix I understand, but the games still blow terribly.

Madden is amazing dude...seriously. Live is good, with a few minor problems, but they can be fixed. I've been a Madden basher in the past, but this one is phenomenal.

It probably deserves a little slack, but the first Madden on the new consles, 06, was probably the worst sports game I've ever played.

I'd be interested in hearing everyones settings and slidders to compare.

Dude..seriously...that's just fucking dumb. Do you really test someone's intelligence based on whether or not they like a video game? So you're saying if someone likes Madden or Live, they're stupid? If that's really the case, I think you should probably check your own intelligence level.

Are you playing on XBox Live? Of course it was...it was a game they rushed to get on to the Next Gen consoles...they've already apologized for 06...it was horrific.

damn EA sports games blow ... if you're lucky you can change the way they make subs to rotation or something similar to get more guys PT...

just sucks because for some reason I'm awesome with Finley...can't keep him in the game longer than the next whistle though..
