If Romo didn't suck balls in Week 2, they would have been spanked by Dallas. Romo will have a better game next time. This season isn't CLOSE to being over.

Are you John Madden?

Anways, there's several other 3-0 teams - Ravens and Jets would probably hand the Giants their ass, and doubtful they could keep up with NO on points.

If the missed throw hadn't bounced off Whitten's heel into the Giant's chest, if the Dallas defender hadn't deflected the bad throw directly into the Giants receiver's arms, and a few other blooper-reel-worthy 'ifs' let the Giants beat the Cowboys. That game was hilarious. The Giants aren't half as good as you think they are.

Eli Manning is a top 5 QB
Brandon Jacobs is a top 10 rb and the best power runner in the NFL
Steve Smith is a top 15 wideout
Giants have one of the best offensive lines
Giants D, while hurting, is still a top 5 D in the NFL

This team has no weaknesses when healthy. Good luck beating the most complete team in the league.

I remember last year everybody was already saying a Giants repeat was a lock for the first 3 months. Then they came back down to earth in December and fell yet again in the postseason to the Eagles.

The Giants are anything but unbeatable. They are off to a great start but they aren't the most impressive team so far this season. The thing is great starts in the nfl mean jack shit if you can't finish strong in December.

Pretty much anybody that makes it to the postseason can win the whole damn thing in the NFL. Single elimination games are a bitch and sometimes you don't even need to play better than your oponent to win, with a few lucky bounces going your way you can knock out a team ten times better than you. So no, we can't declare anybody as the future NFL champs.

nah..the verdict isn't really still out on Dallas. It's obvious they're a good team. Whether or not they're better than Philly, who knows. And I don't think the game next week will fully tell us either. Right now, there's not a QB in the league playing as good as Tony..almost 950 yards and 8 TDs with 0 INTs over the past 3 games...he's playing brilliantly. Eli, on the other hand, is on the downslope. Giants are always going to be tough though. One of my best friends is a Giants fan, and I felt bad for him when I heard Eli had plantar fasciitis...I remember when Tim Duncan had it..he was out for a while. And I've had it before..no way in hell he can comfortably plant that foot to throw. Unless it goes away quickly, it's going to be a long year for Eli, and in turn, for the Giants.

Yeah..you might be right...but to say that Tony is on their levels right now is saying something..those are the leaders of two teams that are undefeated...that's saying something about Romo. I've never been one of those guys who crowned Romo as the best QB in the league..I've always said he needs to prove himself. Right now, he looks really comfortable and confident in his receivers...and he's finding more than just one, which is good news..we'll have to see if it continues.

The reason I say that is cuz they've played KC (#27 Pass D), Atl (#26 Pass D) & Sea (#16 Pass D)!

It's just like when Eli had the 5 game win streak & everyone was complaining bout the schedule till they met New Orleans, & the losing streak began!

I sure hope Eli's injury isn't gonna keep on bothering him, If it does, its gonna be a long season!

That's what I'm saying. I know what plantar fasciitis can do to you...and if he doesn't get rid of it fast, or if it doesn't go down soon, it could be really bad news for the Giants. Take the idea of 100 knives sticking into your heel. That's what it feels like every time you take a step with plantar fasciitis. Now, imagine having to plant on that foot to throw the ball accurately...you have to put a good amount of pressure on that foot to plant it. The pain is pretty close to unbearable.

bostonguy
11-02-2009, 01:04 AM
Eli's injury is one of many issues. Losing their defensive coordinator is a HUGE reason for that d sucking ass. The Giants run d is atrocious. They aren't pressuring the qb and their secondary is shit.

How good was the Atlanta offense though, and the Cowboys D shut them down. There are more facets to the game than just passing offense. The Cowboys are playing good ball. Philly's going to be a good test for them, especially the secondary which seems to be improving since the bye week.

Atlant is 19 in total Offense.
The reason I put Pass D was because people are makin much bout nothin! If Tony "Oh-No", beats Filthadelphia, then I'd agree with everyone!

Underachieving? Nah. They just aren't very good. They had the luxury of playing an easy schedule to start the season. Once the schedule got tough, they fell apart. Then they got an easy game vs the Skins. Today they just got raped. They actually lost to a bad team today and in an embarrassing way.

Yeah but the difference is the Pats are in the playoffs while your team needs all the help it can get just to have a chance. Plus the Pats have only been blown out 1 time all season which was vs the Saints. They were in great position to beat the Colts/Broncos. Giants have been blown out 4 times.

You must not have caught either game this season. Pats were up 17-7 in the Denver game. They had a 17-10 lead most of the 4th. Had chances to win late 4th and in OT and couldn't do it.

Pats had multiple chances to win the game @ Indy. Had a 17 point lead. They were a first down away from ending it.

Another reason is in both Dolphin games, the Dolphins rallied back on thier asses, only to get one win! Splittin the series 1-1, when Miami could be 2-0!

Buffalo game (1st of the season, since it was the 1st), Bills played good but ran outta gas at the end!

New England could have easily been 2-0 vs the fins as well. I also never claimed the Pats were a top dog in the afc. I am not expecting a superbowl, but I know they can give any team a run for their money when they bring their best game. Pats lost all of their gut check games but they easily could have won those (Except the Saints game).

Your team is now done for the year. You can't pin this on injuries. They just weren't very good all season which is why they won't be participating in the playoffs.

Since the Sunday night game vs the Bears the Giants have transformed in to a complete powerhouse. Coughlin is easily one of the best coaches in football today.

For the O:

Eli is back as a top 5 qb
Bradshaw is a top 2-3 back in the nfl.
Hakeem Nicks is the best wr in the game
Steve Smith is a top 10 wr
The O line is by far the best in football

Now to the D:
Easily the best pass rush and front 7 in all of football.
This is an even better secondary than the 08 team.

This team is healthy which wasn't the cast the previous 2 years. The NFC is gonna be so damn easy to win. The AFC has better competition but still not on the level of the Giants.

I would be stunned if they even lose another game this season (unless it is a meaningless game). No one can score on this D and no one can stop this O. Man sucks to be any other team.

I don't know why this team got so overlooked by the "experts" at the beginning of the season. Probably because of the Cowboys hype.

The Giants are good. I predicted a Giants vs Jets Super Bowl earlier. Pittsburgh might beat the Jets though.

Losing DC Spagnuolo in '09 was a blow initially and it showed. They've recovered and refocused defensively rather nicely and Mannings got several weapons at his disposal.
They're playing very well right now.

One amazing stat/ fact is that since the Bears, no team has put together a meaningful drive against the Giants not including garbage time. The only time a team scores against them is when the O turns the ball over 20 yards from the endzone or something like that. Scary team. The Eagles game is going to be a HUGE matchup for the NFC. They also play the Falcons and the Packers later in the year. Lots of great games as we near the playoffs.

The NFC is wide open.

:lmao:lmao

No it isn't. As long as the Giants can get healthy, they will be UNBEATABLE.

Coughlin is the best coach in the NFL today.

The most complete offense in the NFL BY FAR.

Eli has emerged as a top 3 quarterback.

Power running with Jacobs, and speed running with Bradshaw.

The best offensive line in football.

The most underrated TE in Boss

The best 1-2-3 WR trio in Nicks/Smith/Manningham.

The best and most complete D in football

The best pass rushers, most underrated defensive tackles and secondary in the NFL.

Tynes is a easily a top 5 fg kicker especially in clutch situations.

No team comes close to this level of talent all around. Man this is gonna be so easy getting that superbowl.:lol

Fuck you! Giants are making the playoffs despite beating themselves multiple times this year. Packers don't stand a chance vs the Bears.

The pats arent any better, they shoulda lost to Buffalo twice, Baltimore & Carolina 2 weeks ago!!
The only big win the have is Baltimore, if you wanna call it a big win, then you can have it!

Buffalo twice? :lol

Yeah, 34-3 is really close.

And sure, they have the number one offense by a wide margin.

And the best record in football.

But yeah, definitely they are pretenders.
