Photos from today's scrimmage / open practice

[Spurs 21+20+9=50]

Here are some photos from today at AT&T Center. I got there early and was lucky enough to get a front row seat. It was really cool being able to hear so much of what was being said on the court during the practice and scrimmage.

I can't add much more info about today that hasn't already been posted in the game recap by timvp or in the practice thread.

Needless to say, I've been hungry for Spurs basketball all summer and this was a great opportunity to hold me over until the season starts. Can't wait!!

Richard Jefferson is a big dude. No way hes 6'7" in shoes as listed, i think i remember him being slightly bigger at measurements too...

Richard Jefferson is a big dude. No way hes 6'7" in shoes as listed, i think i remember him being slightly bigger at measurements too...

On draftexpress he is listed at 6'7.25" w/o shoes 6'8.5 with shoes.

My impressions of the pics

Either McDyess is bigger than even I imagined (and I was one of those who lobbied for the spurs to sign this guy and I also maintained that Dice is certainly "big enough" to guard the biggest and baddest of the league). He sure looks imposing out there, towering over Blair. And absolutely ripped and chiseled as well. :hat

Or...

Blair is really less than 6'6", maybe Barkley'ish size 6'4

Whatever the case may be, I am pumped to see the Diceman alongside Tim this year, I am hoping he is going to deliver everything I had hoped Kurt Thomas would when he joined the spurs (and much more).

Tim looks the normal shade of brown that he's always had to me. Actually I was thinking Jefferson looked especially pale out there.
