Perry is a megalomaniac. It must be a male cheerleader thing.

...Governor Goodhair isn't even liked in his own party...he really thought he had a chance to get on the McCain ticket...I doubt we'll see another US. Pres. from Texas for some time....

I personally don't think he is necessarily a bad guy even if I don't always agree with him politically. He really wounded himself politically by supporting the Trans Texas Corridor so strongly...and history may still vindicate him on that one...I always had mixed feelings about that one...creating the right-of-ways between all our major cities for high speed city to city mass transit (think bullet train) could have really set Texas up for the future...

The prosecutor in this case actually said this man was a devil worshiper for having "Iron Maiden" posters....

Some people I work with have met him a couple of times. They say he's kind of a prick. Complete opposite to Bush (who they also met as governor) whom they tell me was very approachable and one of the nicest guys you could ever want to meet. FWIW...........

I don't know if he's a bad man; I don't think he's a very smart man.

When you push for an execution, even when exculpatory evidence is presented to you proving a person innocent, evil doesn't do your description justice.

Well for lack of a better phrase...

What's done can't be undone, but the truth has to come out. I really can't blame him though, he doesn't want to be known as the first sitting Governor to preside over the execution of an innocent man.
