Hey how the hell did you get Bill Russell's autograph?

that's an extensive collection.

i think some may be confusing the word autograph with autographics. if my former basketball card knowledge still holds true, these are cards which the card companies get and put in packages. obviously, they are hard to obtain in packs alone, but you can also buy them at the neighborhood memorabilia stores or shows. the michael jordan, tim duncan, lebron and a few others are "worth" a lot of money. i'd imagine the lebron is booked around $800.

You got it red.
90% of the autographs in my collection are those cards indeed.
90% of those cards I got from eBay.

I am not realy the autograph asking guy.
I value a handshake and a brief exchanging of words over asking for the sig.
Therefore when I meet a player/coach I get his authentic autograph from eBay (not that I have met all the players on the list of course).

There are only 3 autographs I actually got myself in person and those are from Stansbury (a card while playing in my hometown of Weert, The Netherlands), Manu (a bball during a signing session at iHop in November 2002) and Steve Smith (a championship t-shirt at the gas station in Stone Oak, San Antonio the day before the championship river parade).

And although I have 39 autographs of David Robinson in my collection there is not one I got signed in person. Tony Parker Sr., the Carver Academy and close friends did help me out with a couple of 'em.

Yes it is very hard to get autographs of people who are not with us anymore.
I do have autographs of Petrovic, Lewis, Sealy and Phills in my collection.

Thanks for the tip about a Pistol autograph Taco, but I only look for autographed cards and on top of that the signature on that photo is preprinted.

Thanks K, but I don't live in San Antonio.

I got the Russell autographed card from eBay.
It's #'d to 500 and is the most expensive card in my collection.

I don't know where you got the rumor that Russell doesn't sign autographs Taco?
There are a few authentic autographed cards on the market and I have seen him sign at the playoffs in San Antonio 2 years ago in person.
