It was in a thread about how I became a Spurs fan:

Well here is my story, I have always lived in Northern Mexico, probably a 5 hour drive from San Antonio, so I started going to SA since I was born, actually my great-grandfather is a San Antonioan so in the year 1999 he gave me an audio cassette that contained the commentary and the best moments from the Spurs vs Knicks finals, so I kept hearing it all the time, i then lost the cassette and forgot about the Spurs for 2 years, I wasn't a fan then, but 2 years later in 2001 i got satellite TV and saw a team called "San Antonio Spurs" on the programming guide so i watched to game and became very excited with the Spurs and with basketball (i had never watch a basketball game before) so like a year later I told my father if we could go watch a game live in the SBC Center, we bought tickets to the last game of the season, Spurs vs Dallas on April 16, 2003 (http://statsheet.com/nba/games/2003/04/16/dallas-mavericks-93-san-antonio-spurs-72) the game sucked cus the Spurs were already the leaders of the West, and Tim Duncan got sidelined I didn't care much, I got my first jersey, a replica David Robinson, which I still have, is nice to have watched one of the best Centers in history live, so we stayed in San Antonio more days to watch the playoffs, i saw the best game ever, it was Spurs vs Suns (http://statsheet.com/nba/games/2003/04/19/phoenix-suns-96-san-antonio-spurs-95), remember the game winning 3 by Stephon Marbury? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBS9hH9c4_s), after that i commited to going to a minimum of 1 game every season, I collect Spurs jerseys now, I think i have close to 10 swingman jerseys, I collect basketball DVDs and anything that has a Spurs logo, its hard to be an NBA fan here in Mexico since we dont get much games on TV (and i dont got Sat-tv now), i hope sometime i could go to 1 entire season, only 1 time in my life, the Spurs are better than ever now...:flag:

I'm really excited to see what Gregg Popovich can do as coach. I've been very impressed with his basketball acumen, personnel management, and rotations.

Verily, fellows, the stimulating back-and-forth and enlightening discussions on this site is a true oasis for a man of letters such as myself. I am presently composing a discourse on the analogies between David Robinson's post game and the transitional phases of Joe Christmas in Light in August, which I shall be submitting forthwith. I eagerly await your comments.

This was mine, in a thread about Mahinmi being injured again:

First of all, hello guys, this is my first day/post here, and I'm about to try to make my "big statement."

Anyway, I think we should look at where we can be next season, because I don't find it very likely that we will be able to surpass this Lakers team. If Farmar was healthy when they played us at home, I think we would have lost that game as well =(. That's not to say we had anywhere near a great performance yesterday.

Even if we do beat the Lakers (most likely in a 7 game series), it would be the most difficult finals series we have ever played, and I think it would be our first loss in the finals. Yes, we haven't played the Cavs yet, but I think they will be nearly impossible to beat. They're so much better than '07. The Celts would be our best chance IMO, but I don't see them getting that far. As for the Magic, we have already seen 2 outings, and that would be my favorite finals match-up to see this season, but I still think they have an edge over us.

All in all, I think while we're waiting for Mahinmi to heal (not saying he's the penultimate center), we should have Bonner get into better shape. He could stand to become a sleeker rocket, which should improve his defensive prowess. While that's happening, we should definitely shop around, but it's already been said that athletic bigs that are rebound hounds and can provide great inside defense/solid point output are hard to come by. I don't really know of anyone that'll be out there this summer.

GO SPURS GO!

I was sad to see that I was soundly and swiftly ignored.
