So this one is not going to be televised and therefore, there aren't going to be any streams?

Haven't heard yet, but it should be a little more of a regular-season look with the Big 3 playing.

I don't think the Spurs are looking to lose this game, so I expect them to play this game pretty straight-up. Not balls-to-the-wall, but enough to get a win.

The biggest problem for my team are nba rules. You can't stay in defence under the basketball for 3 secs or handchecking is not allowed etc

Jeff McDonald: Pop did say all 18 players will suit up tonight. We should see a bit more of the regulars

Jeff McDonald: The Spurs scouted Bouroussis at the European Final Four this summer, and (apparently) made him an offer. Bouroussis told our own Mike Monroe today that he hopes to play in the NBA sometime in the future, and he hopes to play for the Spurs

Jeff McDonald: What Bouroussis told Monroe this morning was that he just didn't feel ready for the NBA at this point in his life. But he seemed amenable to it in the future. We shall see.

Joe Alexander: Based on how many empty seats I saw at the AT&T Center on Tuesday, it's pretty easy to understand why they wouldn't bother to televise a preseason game.

Jeff McDonald: I don't know what to tell you. I doubt the Spurs are actively trying to keep their preseason games off the air. Somebody has to want to air it.

Mason just mentioned that the biggest difference -- besides the obvious elite-players -- between the NBA and Euro was the rule changes and how the Euro is more of a college feel with the passing, lack of iso's and zone defenses; which he feels brings you back to the fundamentals and was good for his game.

He also doesn't feel his role will change all that much, even if they're considerably more talented than a year ago. He did say everyone was going to have to sacrifice a little, but it was no big thing.

yea, but the point is, why bring Olympiakos over for this whole "globalization of basketball" and not show one of their games? It really doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint, you could just as easily had the Spurs play an exhibition game vs the Hornets, or even a D League team if you wanna be silly. It just seems like, wth?

Our market size and what round we exited the playoffs has nothing to do with preseason coverage. The Spurs simply don't broadcast preseason games on tv. It's that simple.

I know it's preseason and they want to get people to come to the games, but having absolutely zero coverage for anybody outside of the arena seems silly. Like people have said...who cares about playing a Euro team if nobody is going to get to see or hear about it?

It's not that.

If you want to play it like that, at least play one game in europe with fiba rules, and in america with nba rules.

Right now, european teams get butchered most of the times because you can't adapt that fast, while NBA teams play in europe against euroleague teams with bastardised fiba-nba rules.
