I'll play the optimist and say Texas A&M wins their home game vs. OSU by 3 points, 34-31. I hope Fuller is back soon, I haven't heard how many more weeks he's expected to miss.

I heard the A&M offensive line makes Victoria High School's look like the Denver Broncos.
I changed my pick for A&M to take this one after the Dez Bryant news.
I think A&M dominates the first quarter, gives up a shitton of points in the middle, then comes back for a classic aggie agging.

osu still gets this one....

I swear to LUCIFER, if these fuckers come out flat against OSU after last weeks on-field abortion, I'm gonna climb the nearest clock tower and just start pickin people off.

It's at home so A&M should be able to keep it close, but no, they're not winning this one. 38-28 okie lite.

Fuller was 4-6 wks iirc. I think I read in the Eagle that he was progressing well, so might be back sooner than later. I'd rather not rush him, but whatever.
I'll go with the Ags at home, but who knows how much damage that Arky game did to their psyche. Plus the o-line is fucking horrible. Either way, I'd love to see a win over the T. Boone Pickens All-Stars.

tamu has first pick on all the corn-fed country boys in the state, yet their team is half the size of everybody else in the big 12.
the O and D lines both suck. shouldnt they be bloaded with farmers? what happened to recruiting?

Fran happened to recruiting.

A W is a W.
Actually, atm is in the top 30 in recruiting every year.
I think they are around 15 this year.
nice effort by the aggies but the better team did prevail. a&m has to regret the lost opportunity at the end of the first half. coming up with 0 points when have a 3rd and goal from the 2 was pivotal. also-giving up 2 big kick off returns after scores was terrible.
but the ags are what they are, the youngest team in NCAA division 1 ball and way short on depth.

I agree the returns were key to us overcoming the hump. Cox was not listed to play but he came in on returns and we sure needed him. He had like 120 yards on returns or thereabouts.

4th and 2 dropped pass. Interception through the hands. 2 tough breaks, despite the fact that they really needed to stop the run in the 4th quarter. Good game, but a tough one to take because I saw some flashes of brilliance in the game.

i think that is about as much as we can expect for this year is flashes. they start 6 freshmen and 5 sophomores and put in a lot of other freshman in key situations. and to tell you how bad depth is: their starting tight end also plays some fullback and their back up QB plays alot of times at receiver.
so 6-6 is still the probable result with perhaps a shot at 7-5.

I just dont understand how you cant recruit someone who can kick the ball through the endzone or at least close to it

What's funny is that he hit a career-long 50-yd field goal and then his kickoffs leave much to be desired.

I had a friend of mine remind me that Toston signed with OSU after Goodsen renigged on his verbal to OSU. Weird.

Why do you have to mispell reneged and make it a racist term?

they just signed a big farm boy from Katy named Shep Klinke. I wish I had made that name up.
A&M recruiting scores by rivals and scout have been very solid the last 10 years and are currently ranked 10th for 2010 at rivals......to put into perspective at how crappy A&M's coaching has been, I'll put Tech's recruiting ranks in as well (currently 20th).
2009: 22nd Tech 33rd
2008: 16th "" 45th
2007: 43rd "" 52nd
2006: 27th "" 25th
2005: 8th "" 37th
2004: 13th "" 33rd
and so on.......
Tech has cracked the top 30 just once before this year, but still beats the shit out of A&M on a regular basis.
You guys missed out on Briles, imo. Too bad.

Unfortunately, this is true. No one continually does less with more than atm has for some time now. Good wins keep coming but wins don't.

yeah and sherman has about one more season to figure it out or he is done. actually, some aggies have hopes he tanks this year so tubberville could be made available.
but blame that on bad ADs making bad coaching hires.

Well, let's be honest, the entire leadership at atm has some issues from top to bottom right now, and I'm not talking just the AD.

How did athletic directors ever make coaching decisions before the advent of message boards?

IIRC, Fran wasn't a Byrne hire. Sherman was, but I still think Sherman was just brought in to work cheap while the money guys were still paying off Fran.

I don't know; if Perry gets the boot, where do you think is the first place he'll go? Hello Mr. (A&M) President. He's appointed enough regents to be a shoe-in for the job.

why do they continue to ignore them?
if A&Ms AD has been reading the spurstalk college forum, you would not be wasting time with Sherman.

Meh, the high character of our guys currently is admirable and the discipline is a sign of good coaching.
Until it translates to wins, I'll be disappointed, however.
