Kind of interesting note from him on his facebook.

Manu Ginobili (http://www.facebook.com/ManuGinobili?ref=mf)I won't be at the game tmrw. Just wanted to let u know. Had to stay in SA working out /// No voy a Miami gente, algunos ya me preguntaron. Me quedo en SA entrenando.

It's likely because there is a trade in the works with him. Spurs shouldn't have been sold at all by what they saw from him in the first two preseason games.

Adios Manu, thanks for the memories (2005 was awesome).

I agree, we all knew that the Spurs would never really pay the luxury tax. Manu, Bonner, and Finley will all be gone by the end of the week for second round picks and trade exceptions.

Watch out for that Bruno character. He's got a rapist wit. :lol

Pop is just monitoring minutes. Manu is still one of the older guys on the team, and is obviously coming off of that injury, so he's due for a little R&R. I think the preseason record can handle it.

Hmm, wouldn't he still have travled with the team if that was the case? I don't know but it seems pretty fishy to me.

When Barry was almost traded to Hornets in 06, they traveled without him.
The trade should be damn close.

And it sounds damn logical. Al the dots connect. For example, Pop tried to raise Manu trade value by saying he was awesome in practices while games showed us that he was nowhere near 100%.

:lol you guys are too easy. The spurs are not going to trade manu because, no manu, no championship!!

This is easy, manu has play the first 2 preseason games, is time to give him a rest. PArker and duncan rest one game, so is manu's time to rest. So if you are not going to play why travel, when you can stay in SA and get some work done.

Duncan didn't go either.

Staying home: Still watching the wear and tear on his veteran players, Popovich opted to leave Duncan and Ginobili in San Antonio. Ginobili played in the Spurs' first two preseason games, against Houston and the Greek team Olympiacos Piraeus, at the AT&T Center. Duncan made his preseason debut Friday night against Olympiacos.

It's the preseason, this is an experienced veteran team. I don't see what the big deal is, if this was the regular season that may raise some cause for concern.

Dude I thought you were better than this.

Your presumption could end up beign true, but it's not (like you said) the most probable scenario. The most probable scenario is that it was his time to rest, and if he wasn't going to play why tire him with an unnecessary trip?

But, I dont know, I was one of them who wanted him to be traded, but I dont think he will be just now, I dont believe it. dont know what to think of this. I guess his homestaying has nothing to do with being traded.
