With this drippy weather they have abandoned the trees for the power lines...I was probably seeing 500-1000 per mile driving around this morning...makes you realize just how many "urban" doves we have...

how do you cook'em?

First you have to shoot them, but dont tell the people on this message board, their panties might cram up their vagina's at the thought of killing something to eat it.

Well, go stand under an oak tree in this weather and you will figure it out. The drizzle pools up on the leaves till it gets too heavy and then comes down in a big "plop". The doves probably get tired of getting hit.

so....if there's 500 to 1000......they can't be "lonesome doves".

how do you cook'em?

de-bone the breasts, slice of pickled jalapeno, slice of cheese, wrap in peppered bacon, skewer, grill, eat.

repeat.

As expensive as .410 shells are I WISH they weren't spent...I shot almost a box that day.

If you have it and haven't shot it I assume you inherited it? You should check it out. Some of them are extremely valuable.

So is that one meal just for you? As I recall, those breasts are about one bite each.

yep. unlike yours...:cooldevil

seriously white wings are a little bigger...one boned breast makes 2 jalapeno/cheese/bacon dove bites and each is about 3 bites.

Doesn't Bexar County have one of the largest white wing dove colonies?

Maybe they learned that people don't shoot at power lines?

Doves dont cry when they are dead. In fact, I dont know of any animal that cries after they die. They may pass gas if you leave them for a while though.

I see that you've never spent a new years eve in San Antonio!
