The Portland Trail Blazers ran through half-court offense and defense drills Monday morning during the conclusion of practice at the team's workout facility in Tualatin, Ore.
Black: Andre Miller, Steve Blake, Jarron Collins, Martell Webster, Juwan Howard
White: Brandon Roy, Ime Udoka, Rudy Fernandez, LaMarcus Aldridge, Joel Przybilla
Portland coach Nate McMillan stopped an offensive run through to talk about floor spacing.
Webster hit a 3-pointer from the left baseline, while Aldridge sank a pull-up 8-foot jump shot.
McMillan said he has not spoken one-on-one with Miller since Sunday's practice.
Howard wore a large bandage on his forehead, and blood showed through the tape. Howard said he hit his head on an offensive play. McMillan said stitches should not be required, but that Howard might have a scar. Howard spoke with the media following practice, and said the injury was minor.
McMillan said the team's primary focus as it attempts to improve its defense is on ball control. McMillan said he needs commitment from his players on the defensive end. He added that defense is not a glamorous job, and that most players do not enter the NBA because of their defense.
Greg Oden drew laughter when asking if former Blazers guard Clyde Drexler played at the Memorial Coliseum.
