heres the trick...
get a group of people
bring cash (you will probably only need about $20-25, but i'd say bring $50 just in case)
we have a group of like 15-20 people every year, we tell one of the ticket-takers that we have a group that each person will give them a $20 if they let us in for standing room. so they end up making $300-400, and we get to watch the game and stand anywhere we want. no one monitors or cares, plus there are always a crapload of people standing around the place anyways. its a win-win. you can stand in the lower level on the 50-yard-line and go back and forth, talking crap with OU/UT fans, and you have a pretty good view. been doing this for years now. never fails
do you think they'll take a personal check

We went down in '90 without tickets and just waited outside until kickoff. Peolpe were dern near giving them away as soon as the game started.

That was a long time ago.

the $20 handshakes nothing new, heard it does work at the cotton bowl

I don't know about the "giving away tickets" part but the $20 handshake as mentioned previously is still alive I presume.

Sounds gay. Why would I want to be part of a pack of people roaming from place to place trying to get a decent view of the game? I would feel like a middle school kid.

I don't go to sporting events with other people.
I consider myself a one-man wolf pack.

you don't, moron
just find a spot where you can see the game, stand there, and enjoy the game. its not like so many people are standing around that you have no breathing room or anything like that.

I will definitely be at the game. I typically go to the UT-OU game about every other year. And I go to the Cotton Bowl game every year. I'm still upset that the game will be at Jerry World now. I love Fair Park and I'm looking forward to eating enough fried food to gain 50 pounds. :D

Man I've always wanted to try this and would do it in a heartbeat if it weren't for the fact that if it failed I'd be fucked out of watching at least 95% of the first half by the time we rode off and found some other place to watch the game.
Does it really work? I mean, really, you don't have to impress us...does it REALLY work?
honestly i could just dose the ticket taker and then we could all get in for free after he starts tripping balls and walks away from his post
usually only takes like 10 minutes to half an hour

My car club will be in the car corral that day. If you see a guy standing next to a red Fox mustang with a Spurs hat on come say hi.

I can confirm this works, but I haven't actually had the balls to do it, I had friends doing it and they did all the talking. I just brought a 20, kept my mouth shut and tried to look as inconspicuous as possible.
I'd say go for it, just make sure you have a smooth talker to charm the ticket taker. For instance, last year I went to the game with Brad Pitt and Don Draper from Mad Men so it wasn't tough for us to get in.
