...unlike most years, the Irish actually have a decent chance in this game. figure to learn a lot about USC's defense and Notre Dame's offense. plus, can Barkley throw the ball down field...please.

I say the winner is the one with home field. In this case Notre Dame. If this game were played in the Rose bowl.....I would say USC. 28-24 Notre Dame

USC should roll. ND can't defend like they were expected to.

If Michael Floyd was healthy, ND would probably be the favorite to win. Unfortunately now, USC will be double covering Tate all day. If I remember correctly, SC shut Tate down last year when Floyd was injured. For Notre Dame is gonna win, their D will have to step up a lot, maybe that crazy goal line stand against Washington will give it the kick start it needs, and Kyle Rudolph is gonna need to have a big day. All that said:

ND hasn't mowed the field in a month to slow down USC.

I think USC has to much talent for ND, although ND should put up more of a fight than it has in the past three years.

It's amazing how you can find new ways to hate USC everyday. It happened several months ago (but I just read about it), but you gotta love how classy SC fans are for sending Weis a letter making fun of his autistic daughter. What a nice group of people.

People on this forum seems to believe that one persons dumb acts speaks for everyone in that fanbase. It's dumb, but it is what it is.


I am sure he was singing a different tune when he heard what Cardinal fans did to McNabb's house. He will tell you that doesn't speak for most Cardinal fans. Not like they had many before this year, anyways.

Exactly! If some random SC fan did write that letter then that guy is an epic douche. But i hate the fact that everyone is so quick to judge USC and the SC fan base in a negative way.

Every school has a few bad fans; I wouldn't characterize all of them based on that one incident.

USC was beating that ass...then it all changed on 1 play. crazy. should have never been that close, check the stats, but kudos to notre dame for not folding up shop. the irish have definitely improved...i was impressed with their play and you could tell they really wanted this game.

that was a tough loss, but like clausen said, when you play that many close games you are not going to win it all. Truth be told I though without floyd they were going to have a hard time moving the ball on the SC defense. They did, but they certainly made some adjustments in the second half. all in all dissapointing loss but I was glad to see they have somewhat closed the gap talent wise on a team like SC. Now they just need to win out, which will not be easy.

I thought ND would lose 2 in the regular season and then their bowl game, but I don't think they'll win out unless their defense stops blowing major balls
