Support Malik Rose? Malik and family are making enough money. You act as though they're starving in the streets and sleeping under a bridge.

No thanx. I'll be looking for some fajitas or bar-b-que.

Malik will be just fine without my support.

TPark didn't say to support his family or pay his bills. But support his resturant. Believe it or not, once a player retires from the NBA. The money stops. And that player has to find another way to make money.

He and his family are not going to be living the good life forever off that one big contract.

Classic.

T Park bashed Malik Rose and disses him and his sandwich shop ... until it comes to making money on his rides.

Nice.

I made the observation opening day, that he had a booth here, it was suprising, i tried it out, it was good, and I hope people come out and support the booth.

I never said support my stuff, I never said come do my stuff.

If he and his family can't live the good life off of 54 million, tough shit.

Hell, if he took one percent of that and put it in the bank for two years at 4% interest he'd have my student loans and truck payments taken care of, don't think I'll be *helping* any "poor" NBA player out anytime soon :lol

I still love Malik, but only for the way he played when he was in the silver and black. His restaurant kinda sucks.

I'll make it a point to stop by Malik's and grab a bite.

Tpark,

I don't hate Malik. I hate how he played (poorly) the last year and a half.

And I think only an idiot would whine about "poor" NBA players needing help when their careers are over after signing 54 million dollar contracts, and that would go for any NBA player.

Asking the common fan, who typically drops on average $50 or so for a night to go see their team play, to "support" multimillionaires is retarded.

Now, if you're asking to support their charity, it's a little different, but I have a hard time feeling sorry for any pro athlete in any sport.

Buddy Holly's comments remind me of Spree earlier this year saying "I've got a family to feed yo" when the guy's making 14 million a year. Stupid.

Just because you are constantly on his ass for no reason, that doesn't make it "we".

sounds like someone has penus envy over money.

It is a guy's business.

If it was Brent Barry's dick hoagies, youd be there from opening to closing.

ididnotnothat

I could go for a cheesesteak right about now.

Tpark, are you capable of reading comprehension?

No penis envy, I just think anyone begging for the common San Antonian to support someone who will have made over 60 million from playing basketball has a fucked up sense of reality and priorities.

Sue me.

Aggie Hoopsfan
04-16-2005, 01:47 PM
By the way, that doesn't just go for Malik, that goes for any NBA player.

Love the juvenile crack about Barry by the way, not surprising coming from you. I guess if he ever gets fired Pop knows where to turn to for a sugar daddy.

Love the juvenile crack about Barry by the way, not surprising coming from you

your the king of juvenile cracks about me and Pop Mr Glass House.

Theres a difference between supporting a player, and support his business.

Id say his family ALA his brother benefits from the sales of the stuff out here than Malik does.

So in reality, its Malik's brother out here bustin his butt to make a buck.

But ya know, his brother makes millions, so obviously he should just live off Malik.

Aggie Hoopsfan
04-16-2005, 02:47 PM
If his brother is running the business I'm sure he's doing fine. And if he's really scraping to get by then Malik's not the human being in SA that everyone was lead to believe.

That could be said about alot of businesses.

But just because your brother makes alot of money, doesn't mean hes automatically successfull.

I never said support Malik with money, yeah hes got alot.

Im just saying support the business. Nothing wrong with pumping up Malik's business.

Tpark, my beef wasn't even in you, it was dumbfuck TheWriter and his whole "an NBA player making 60 million dollars playing a kid's game needs your financial support."

Maybe we should just start an "adopt an NBA player" campaign, all the league's cash strapped fans can scour their couch cushions and call Sally Struthers about taking in their favorite nBA star.

T Park
04-16-2005, 06:33 PM
oh.

Yeah I feel ya there.

Like Patrick Ewing, "We make alot, but we spend alot too"

Slomo, look forward to seein ya, to talk about Rasho and Beno!!! :)
